In other news…the shenanigans of electing a Speaker seems to be over (and was much less of a debacle compared to last year), so it seems everything is in order for Trump to be certified. And Merchan plans on sentencing Trump next week, but has already said it (probably) won’t be prison. “Merchan wrote in his decision that he is not likely to "impose any sentence of incarceration," but rather a sentence of an "unconditional discharge," which means there would be no punishment imposed.” And once again the progressives actually thought they had Trump where they wanted him… https://www.foxnews.com/politics/new-york-judge-sets-trump-sentencing-days-before-inauguration

Tell us five new policy changes that Trump has said he will implement that you believe will make things worse.

Saying “President Musk” just further embarrasses the fact that Biden is the president…but that being said, I’ll take Musk on the Trump team any day!

That’s like saying because I took a programming course in college that I’m a computer programmer. And if you’re not saying he was a good choice as FAA administrator, then why didn’t you say so when he was nominated like you are now wrt Tulsi’s nomination? You don’t like Trump…we get it.
-
Or hiring someone with their PPL to run the FAA…oh wait…
-
Those are illegal in NJ and most of the NE states, so we’re good.

Commanders are dropping like flies this year

One down, many more to go! -
That alone makes me support the nomination even more!

Well, he already thinks democracy is over since Trump won, so he didn’t have much of a chance anyway according to his own words.

Is this a serious question? And the contract was to go to UPT and become a pilot…promotion/retention laws/regs had nothing to do with it. Rules always change while you’re in the military, nothing you agree to says they have to remain static while you’re in service.
-
1) In my time in the AF, I was rarely surprised that those who got passed over for O-4 were passed over… 2) To be a Captain (or soon to be) and get picked picked up for UPT means they most likely had a solid record to begin with…my bet is the percentage of late to rate (pilots) Captains getting passed over for O-4 is much lower than those in their original career fields, as well as their non-late to rate fellow pilots. 3) The UPT ADSC is to go to pilot training and become a pilot, that’s it. Promotion is definitely not a gurantee, and if said potential late to rate officer is concerned about promotions (though see point above), my advice for them is to focus not on becoming a pilot, but being the best officer they can be and getting promoted in their original career field. 4) The AF is not hurting for qualified candidates to go to UPT…if fewer non-rated officers want to become pilots, then it’s not much of a loss IMO. 5) It’s the AF, and it’s far from anything we all think is “fair” in our own minds. If we’re going down that rabbit hole, I’m sure I got quite a few people beat, willing to discuss offline. 6) They signed up to serve, meeting the minimum standard isn’t that hard. And if they really want to get out, there are ways to do it.

So they’ll suddenly become shitty pilots because they’re passed over and have to fulfill the commitment they agreed to?

How much money did you lose?

I’m pretty ignorant on the Tesla self driving feature: How much time are you spending looking at the road vs not? Or is it just you’re watching the road 98% of the time but still on your phone and/or focusing on a podcast? I get driving can be tiring, especially considering traffic, road conditions, etc but how exactly does this feature make a difference? Appreciate the info!

…but, but preserving democracy…or something.

Trump was still found guilty in NY, was he not? And the decision hasn’t been overturned or reversed (or whatever)…so why isn’t he going to prison? It’s because Trump was never going to prison is he won the presidency. It amazes me that people actually thought over the last couple of years that Trump would go to prison, even if he won the election.
-
Didn’t really pan out the way you said it would.
-
What a difference a year can make.
-
I can only hope he is also shown the door for supporting all the DEI nonsense.
-
Biden said he would not pardon his son, but did it anyway. I always predicted this would happen. Anyone who is surprised by this, well, they shouldn’t be. To be fair, I truly think Trump would have done the same if he were in a similar situation.
-
Maybe this is a way for pilots to get out of their commitments early?
-
I’m old enough to remember when the progressives would complain about all the money in politics/how much was spent on elections…now they’re leading the pack wrt all the spending.

The Ukrainians aren’t wrong to fight…we’re just wrong to spend hundreds of billions of dollars (via debt) to help them fight. If the Ukrainians want to keep fighting using their own resources, then should definitely go for it.
-
Funny…Mexico certainly isn’t doing everything they can to stop the illegal flow of people, drugs, etc from their country into ours.
-
Here’s something for you—you can be against spending hundreds of billions of dollars in support of Ukraine while also not being supportive of Russia.
