  1. as a former student of hers, I'll say she was a very hard working FAIP and a scheduler, long after the other FAIPs had turned on the beer light she would still be working hard to get the schedule sorted out. She did such a great job we only flew one weekend the entire phase 3, where other flights were sending out 2-3 sorties a weekend. She was also a good instructor.

As for treating studs like children....red headed step children is more accurate. Generally a nice person but had the USAFA, female something to prove attitude.

Great at queep, shitty hands. Gonna be a superstar.

  2. That's what I thought. How do we sell a gun and get it "off" the "defacto registry?"

I've got a couple guns I'd like to sell, but I'm the one on the paperwork and wonder where they'll end up...

So really what you're saying is, "I'm cool with registration as long as it's not registered to me." Go through an FFL and get the government's permission to allow you to exercise your rights. That way your ass will be covered.

The buyer gives you money. You give them the gun. The end.

  4. How do you like the 1-4x scope? Is it pretty durable on a 'tactical' rifle? What's the furthest range you can get out of it and still make precision shots?

I like the DMS for what it cost. It's been durable. With just a circle reticle and a dot you don't have much to work with for estimating holds. How far you can hit with it is up to you. I think the Appleseed folks say you should be able to hit a man at 500 yards with iron sights.

  5. The D-ring on a brand new rifle is a bitch to get down far enough to unseat the original guards. It's really a two person job, but I did it by using both hands (STS) to push down the guard and a flathead screwdriver in my mouth to push one guard off. I guess it you have gorilla strength, that's NA. I don't.

Getting the MOE hand guards on is challenging as well for the same reason, but there's also some tips on the internet about it. You basically need a rubber hammer to tap them into place.

Gotcha. I didn't know if the mid-length MOE required modification to fit on the M&P 10.

I'm on the fence about selling a sweet custom 6.8 upper to fund a new M&P 10. If anyone is interested in the 6.8 let me know.

  6. I dropped $400 on the scope for my Sig SHR970. I'd like to stay under that.

Aimpoint Pro is ~$400. I have a Millet DMS 1-4x variable that works well.

It's very light. I swapped out the handgrips for MagPul medium length, but that was a bitch. I probably won't get to shoot it for a while, but I've heard the trigger is what leaves something to be desired.

What was difficult about the hand guards? Any tips?

  7. got an email this past week asking for updated CC info for some people and they said they are almost ready to ship...going to call on monday and see when they are going to ship

Oddly enough, military people's billing info changes over the course of a year and a half.
