which was withdrawn and replaced with a less severe letter of concern.
What is this letter of concern you speak of?
-
Immel-spin. You'll know it if you ever do it.
Even better - Sheppard solo T-38 student managed to flame out both engines at the top of a loop 6-9 months ago. As one would imagine, he did not pass that ride.

Perhaps it's just me, but I'm getting no reply formatting options, tools, or icons above the text box at the end of the thread. They're also not available when submitting a reply via the "more reply options" button.
Not that it matters, but the post "likes" are also no longer present.
Anyone else?
I have them all, but they're at the bottom of the text box (where they've always been for me). Not sure if it matter, but using Mozilla.

And all the while Metzger is still riding her way up. UFB
Of course. She was a "victim."

So, as a non-pilot... how is this guy still getting promoted? If he's such a joke/ass to you guys, and you're bros.. why is he where he is?
Because impressing senior officers is a completely different skillset than gaining and maintaining the respect of your subordinates. Unfortunately, only the former gets you promoted.

Please feel free to uhhhh PM me if you notice anything strange going on wrt malware or possible spammers.
Add on - due to spam protection issues, we are now having to manually check new accounts and weed out spammers (of which we have around 100 a day). We're not going to catch them all, so if you see spam posts, please DO NOT QUOTE THEM to label them as spam. Hit the "Report" button at the bottom of the post and it will instantly send an email to the moderators, who can go in and manually remove and block the spammers. If you quote the posts, it just makes it harder for us to clean it up.

Strength in numbers. - I'm going to move next door to M2.

Just saw Gravity in Imax 3-D. I was absolutely floored. Incredible.
3 (only saw it 3D, not IMAX).
Amazing visuals, and Sandra Bullock was good, but I don't support all the folks who have been saying she is an Oscar contender.

Still better than AETC.
Well, I've personally seen two SIBs take place recently in AETC with two different commanders. In both cases there was pilot error, but in neither case was there any effort to punish them.
-
FEBs and commander directed downgrades are perfectly legal uses of the knowledge a commander gains from the results of a SIB. They are not punishment (though it may seem like it to the guy facing the FEB).
Disagree. Safety investigations are not supposed to be used for anything punitive. If the CC sees/hears something in the SIB, he can only use that information to order a CDI.

So if, for example, you calculate your rotate speed at 69 knots, must you now rotate at 70? Will all briefings now be 10 minutes to avoid offending someone by falling in the 6-9 minute range? We should also probably ban the ILS into KBQK.
6 and 9 are just numbers and they happen to comprise 20% of available digits. It would be very difficult to operate with only 80% of digits for those of us having jobs involving numbers merely to avoid possibly offending those who sexualize every comment and are then offended by their own interpretation. Sometimes this feels like high school.
Please tell me you're not being serious.
This is the problem.
You can't blindly rattle this shit off sounding like a douchebag totally disregarding your audience. I will admit that it so ingrained in me that I have to pause and stop when I'm talking to somebody who may not appreciate or understand it. These days most folks don't understand why you're saying it, and if they don't you look like an asshole. Know your audience. We can continue doing our things, but if you put your *cranium* down and try to run forward at full speed with your agenda, you're not proving a point. You're being a dickhead.

Nope. That's it.
Bullshit. I'm all about emails....nobody has it?

To my knowledge ENJJPT is prob your best bet for leaving sooner. I know two bros commissioned in May, one EAD'd the day after he graduated. The other left about a month after he graduated both went ENJJPT. Everyone that I know who went to Vance or Laughlin was EAD within two months of graduation. Columbus however is a different story. I know one guy who left for CBM within 2 months of graduation, I am expected to EAD January, 7 months after graduation, there is a group of us all going to CBM on facebook, I would say 40-50 who have assorted dates from October to May.That being said, if you want ENJJPT, from my VERY VERY limited knowledge you will EAD similar time if you chose Vance or Laughlln. I would stay from CBM if you want a early EAD.
Disclaimer-I have no actual accurate info on how backed up each base is, just my knowledge of some bros who have all gone to UPT/ENJJPT within the last several months. Hope this helps.
Speak English or die.
This might be the most worthless post in this thread.

That's awesome. Would be cool if the AF or some pub does an article about him/her.
It only took them two months, but they finally wrote an article: Lieutenant beats cancer, selected to pilot Raptors

Anyone seen "Black Eagle" the new Koran top gun knockoff on Netflix?
Return to Base?
.It makes "Behind Enemy Lines" look Oscar-worthy.
Here's a seven-minute clip. Good popcorn movie, as long as you don't let silly things like physics get in the way of your movies.

Some units, such as maintenance shops, already have a regular roll call to take their troops’ pulse, spread the word on new plans or requirements, and make sure they are understood.

Effective immediately Friday morale masks are authorized.
I thought this was photoshopped until just now.

We have tech folks who we have contacted to help with the issue, but we haven't heard anything back yet. If anybody thinks they're smart enough to navigate the site control panel to see if they can find anything, send me a PM.

Not sure what's going on, but I'm getting it as well. I'll get in touch with the techies.

I can't decide what makes me more angry, the fact that they remade this classic and will most likely fuck it up.
Or the fact that I kinda want to see it.
