  1. https://www.reuters.com/article/2012/06/28/us-germany-circumcision-idUSBRE85R1F020120628 I'll count drooling as a waiver of rights.
  2. I had to do one of those at my last base where the Comm Sq was in the Ops Group. I thought it was strange since I had been asked to brief the OG CC face-to-face many times as part of our ORI/UCI spin up. Not sure what I strat'd because I PCS'd before they dropped final rankings. I wouldn't have been really competitive anyway lacking "operational mission execution", BAC+, and community involvement the Operators had in buckets. In before the hate - it was an AFSPC base.
  3. That'll never work! *cough https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Operation_Mincemeat cough*
  4. Foxnews channel is reporting they've found the bodies.
  5. Compare us to just GS and tell me we have "free" healthcare. There's a yearly fee for Tricare now. Are you saying retired folks should after retirement step into the world with a Dec, a atta boy and whatever they stashed in the TSP (which is relatively new)? Are you advocated a graduated system? All I can discern from your Patrick "Do you like Huey Lewis and the News" Bateman responses, is you're for nothing upon retirement. Correct? Still waiting for that HR director/CEO to order me* to execute a deadly mission where kill/capture+torture is a real concern. Or the business that sends me away for a year, with meager stipends to cover the incurred cost during that time. Having known some folks who are civilian employeed and get moved like we do the DoD gets off cheap. Where there is a business literally killing people/things and/or executing a national security/policy mission please let me know. I'll transfer over the TSP to a 401K, stop saluting the flag and throw on the walmart greeter vest as I route cyber bullets in their direction. * By me, I mean you fliers/PJs mostly . Chance of me leading a convoy are slim to none. I can't even volunteer to deploy in current position.
  6. Educate this youngish officer - I always thought additional duty shite, taskers, latest/greatest CBTs, and "projects" as queep. But O/EPRs and Decs as "taking care of your troops." Not that they can't get queepy (wordsmiths who wants "awesome" changed to "amazing").
  7. Can we put the MAFFS on an F-35 or F-22? C-130's are by far my favorite airframe for all they do.
  8. No, but they did forget to tell the SSgt (me) who was crating their stuff through Greek security. That made for an interesting day.
  9. I was surprised during my USAFE tour that the French and Belgians still care as much as they do. Maybe not the Paris-types, but all the little towns were very reverent to their local monuments and cemetaries. Very humbling.
  10. "Syria shot down a Turkish warplane on Friday, Lebanon's al-Manar television reported... ...Two crew were aboard the F-4 jet," https://www.reuters.c...E85D0IS20120622 Perhaps Turkey is looking to elevate the external pressure. Nations still fly the F-4 as a warplane? Wow.
  11. I used my GI Bill to knock out classes for my Undergrad after I tapped out TA. Only reason was I had to have the degree complete before I entered OTS. Using it to cover the top end of classes doesn't pay (like selling back leave) unless there's some crunch time payoff. Not sure how much you're paying. I'm doing a decent brick-and-mortar and it's coming to about $500 after TA for a semester. Shouldn't be too hard for an O type to figure. Save the GI Bill.
  12. Pics or it didn't happen. Also, good thing dec presentations are done at the position of attention.
  13. Sweet.. then we can change the name of Undergraduate Cyber Warfare too!
  14. We had one of these happen for a PCS to Alaska, individual was just routed somewhere else. That not an option?
  15. UNO also increased their rates next term. Seems like it's going 'round.
  16. Christ, I wish I could have been in when this sort of thing went on. Even if I am just a Cyber-shoe.
  17. FlameĀ® seems pretty cool, but outside the nation-state and targetting link pretty standard for malware, i.e. control domains, screenshots, keystroke grabber. Next time we get a crafted weapon.. er... expoit (stuxnet) I'll get excited again. Also, lot of different rumors swirling around the chips "back doors." Most researchers/pro's say it's interesting the guys who discovered it are trying to sell a tool to detect it. Additionally it appears to be a maintenance back door and not devious (insert Jurassic Park and/or Lawnmower man reference here). Man I love this stuff.
