hi,

I'm looking for some details about the NATO AAR procedure.

First,  when the ATP-56 was update that changed the AAR side? in the past the the fighters joining the tanker were joined from "right observation" and after they finished the AAR they left to the left side.

Second, what is the reason for this change?

thanks

Not sure about either question but from my tanker days fighters would rejoin as required but usually on the right but if the tanker was in a turn, on the outside of the turn, make it work.

ATP 56 for light reading...
