  1. Master's in Education with an emphasis in aviation, or something like that.
  2. TUI gave me 8 credits for PIT, they just needed a training report. You should be able to access it from your AFPortal records.

  4. No, it's not Dwight Schrute's "horse-boat", but I'm sure his Iranian counterpart was integral in the acquisition process. http://www.popsci.com/technology/article/2010-09/irans-boat-plane-thing-would-strike-fear-other-flying-military-boats-if-they-existed
  5. Upon viewing this video, the taliban is disbanding immediately.
  6. What an absolute tool. Before now, I've thought that some on this forum are too hard on shoes, but you have shown me how wrong i was. I'm just another FNG Lt but I've already have had some really bad experiences with "support" types. I just assumed they were the exception from the rule. It's so utterly disappointing to see ass clowns like you associated or in the military. I didn't join the AF to watch queers prance around a damn stage. I joined to fight and kill the damn enemy. I don't know why support people believe its underneath them to support the actual warfighters. You should be damn proud of what you do and do it to the best of your ability. You should take pride in enabling the warfighters to do their job without having to worry your job. But instead you despise the people you are supposed to be freaking supporting and vow not to do your job. Congratulations for being and absolute douchebag. I really hope and pray that there are enough better people than you doing your job to make up for your worthlessness. You are a fvcking disgrace.
  7. Not knowing the story behind this WSO, I feel bad for the guy. It's gotta be a tough pill to swallow to be kicked out after 18 years of honorable service with no retirement. Looking at this story alone (or at least the part we have heard), it appears that they should have let the guy keep serving. However, I'm not sure that means we do away with DADT. Here's why. I don't have a problem serving with an openly gay guy who respects boundries and doesn't constantly flaunt his gayness. I've worked with a gay guy at my civilian job for the past year (I EAD end of this month). He's openly gay, but doesn't flaunt it or act gay. He's professional and does his job well. The problem is that if you allow gays to openly serve, you can't really discriminate what kind of gays serve. I can't see a recruiter asking a gay guy how flaming he is. We would have serve with the flamers who constantly flaunt their gayness alongside those who are professional. That would cause division in units. It's a shitty situation without a perfect solution.
  8. I just had a classic experience the other day, thought I would share. So its around 2200 and I hop into my car which I parked in a slanted parking spot. There aren't many cars in the lot and there isn't much traffic around. The parking lot was set up in fashion that it would be timely to exit the parking lot onto the main road opposite the direction of the slanted spots. I check to see if there is any traffic. There isn't. I back up and swing around to exit the parking lot, which is maybe 20 feet away. Right as I get turned around, this cop swings around the building where I couldn't see him, and comes for me head-on like a rat on a cheeto. As he slams his brakes he gets on his PA, and yells, "WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!?! THIS IS A ONE WAY LANE!!!" You would have thought I was beating a disabled child with a club the way he yelled at me. So first I wonder if he wants me to freaking turn around, which won't be easy now that there are parked cars on one side of the "one way" lane and a building on the other. But then I realize he made the decision for me by coming so damn close to me. So as I put it in reverse, a couple of cars pull up behind the cop. So now I have to make about a 9 point turn barely not bumping the parked cars with a d-bag cop and 2 annoyed people staring me down. I felt like Austin Powers on The Spy Who Shagged Me making that turn in a tiny space. So I finally get turned around and traverse the lot to get out of there. The thing that gets me is I swear that cop was camping out waiting for someone to go opposite the "one way lane". At least he didn't give me a ticket, but what a d-bag. The thing that gets me is if he just let me exit the lot, it would have taken all of 5 seconds as opposed to the seemingly eternal 9 point turn.
  9. Dude - a couple things... Who above said anything about Obama? A little hypersensitive, are we? Also, Obama disagrees with you. He said it was his fault - http://news.yahoo.com/s/afp/20090427/pl_af...exerciseapology Props to Obama for being man enough to admit a mistake, but wow. A low flyover by a jumbo jet over New York City. Really? I wonder if they are planning another photo op over the Pentagon soon.
  10. Good thread. I've never rode before, but I'm lookin to get into it. It seems like cruisers are the best option for FNG riders. Any recomendations on a cruiser for a real beginner?
  11. I'm headed to Whiting for UPT with a start date of 18 Nov. Any guess what I'll be flying, T-34 or T-6? Thanks.
  12. The subtitles call him "General", but you are right about the "Commander" rank from the reporter. Funny video though.
  13. Anyone else notice the "General" is wearing O-6 rank in the report?
  14. In theory, I agree with you completely, but there is a huge problem. For diplomacy to work with Iran in the way you are describing, Obama has to have military operations on the table. He has made abundantly clear that he will not go to war with Iran at any level. Politically, it is nearly impossible for Obama to use military options with Iran because of his past statements and base of support. Iran knows this. That's why the diplomacy will not work and will be counter-productive. They have nothing to lose. It will only give them a chance at political grandstanding with the most powerful nation on earth. They will use it as propaganda to their cause. And I can see Obama giving the concessions as a measure of "good will" just as Chamberlain did. Iran will go into the meetings knowing that things can't get worse for them and only better. Obama has already chopped off his own balls in the meetings by vowing not to use military options. Win-win situation for Iran, lose-lose for the US.
  15. Clearly you didn't read my post. I said diplomacy doesn't work w/Iran because their government isn't rational. Diplomacy can work with rational states when power is on your side. By the way, I wouldn't take any comfort in Ayatollah being supreme over Mahmoud. He is just as fanatic.
  16. Just like Ol' Chamberlain found peace in his time by talking to Adolph, right? I wonder why Hitler thought Europe was for the taking after the Munich Conference... there could be a connection there. Seriously man, go read the rhetoric that Iranian leaders spew. It would be one thing if we were dealing with a secular government that had rational desires for prosperity. But that ain't Iran. Mahmoud has said Israel needs to be "wiped from the map" and "wiped from the pages of history". He also said, ""Israel is about to crash. This is God's promise and the wish of all the world's nations." Also calls the holocaust a "myth" and a "legend". In 2005 Mahmoud said publicly that the main mission of the Islamic Revolution is to pave the way for the reappearance of the Twelfth Imam. I could go on. My point is, what in the hell are you going to talk to this man about? "Please Mahmoud, don't build nukes. Don't try and start Armageddon. Please, don't start another Holocaust." Good freaking luck. Talking to that ugly jacket wearing bastard only gives him more power. But if that gives you hope for change and quibling knees and fuzzy feelings, have fun with it.
  17. Am I limited to believing we should do exactly what Bush did or what Obama is doing? I'm all for the economic sanctions, though its not enough. Iran is still going through with its nuclear program despite Bush's sanctions and Obama's fuzzy talk. So what do we do? First of all, stop kissing thier asses. No more honoring their holidays, oogling over their history, and speaking their language. Stop the damn lovefest. Seriously, who does Obama think he is talking to? He comes off as weak and open to intimidation and manipulation. A pitiful weakling. Then, continue with economic sanctions. When they continue with their nuc program, bomb them. That simple. For pc purposes, give them an ultimadem first that they will promptly ignore. I'm not saying we invade or send in ground troops, just stategically take out their nuc program for them. What do you think we shoud do Vertigo?
  18. No, lets just keep honoring thier holidays, speaking their language, and kissing their asses. That will work just fine. Vertigo, did I say I advocated Bush's policy of ignoring them? All I'm saying is Obama has zero clue on how to deal with Iran.
  19. Some people just don't get it. No amount of talk is going to appease Iran. This reeks of the Munich Agreement. If we lift our economic sanctions on Iran, then what? Do we really think they will suddenly stop their nuc program and stop funding terrorism? Really? And if we lift the sanctions, what will they want next? They'll want us to end our alliance with Israel. Are we going to do that too? Khamenei said, ""They chant the slogan of change but no change is seen in practice. We haven't seen any change." Obama doesn't get it. The Iranians aren't going to get weak in the knees like our media does when they hear him talk about hope and change. They want results. Unless Obama is willing to lift economic sanctions, allow terrorism to be openly funded and supported by Iran, and screw Isreal, he should shut up. His celebrity status and hope talk may work wonders with the American media and public, but it will screw him in situations like this.
  20. http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0309/19470.html The Sec of State is now pushing nearly a billion dollars of aid to Palestinians. I wonder if Hamas will get any of that aid... This administration is getting even more ridiculous. Obamessiah tells us how he is going to halve the deficit by the end of his term, and the guy's administration is spending money like John Edwards in a beauty shop. The porkulus package is ridiculous enough, now we have to send a billion dollars to freaking terrorists. But we need to cut military spending NOW! That's the problem! This is more change that I can believe in.
  21. It's good that the media at least has to have permission from the families, but I still think this is BS. Some poor woman has her husband get killed in Iraq or Afghanistan, and next thing she knows she's got all these spineless "journalists" calling her, begging and manipulating her in order to make a damn political specticle of what should be an honorable and respectful ceremony. F-ing garbage. This is more change I can believe in.
  22. Stuck, I can't stop laughing at your avatar...
  23. Al Gore needs to get a hold of this video for the sequel of An Inconveniant Truth. I can see it now... Al next to a rising and falling platform showing the changing heights of rainbows and its correlation with SUV production. I foresee a new government agency aimed at finding and implimenting a solution to the rainbow crisis. Fund it now.
