Yeah...I wouldn't put a whole lot of stock into what that guy says. I know who you speak of.

I think it would better to test a student's ability to sit there, STFU, and accept instruction and criticism with humility and not quibble. interrupt, and otherwise highlight themselves in a negative

The gray haired capt (Maj select) is a reservist UPT student...

He got picked up as a reservist with who? The dude was pretty cool.

If its the skinny guy with glasses, I agree with brewskis, he turned one of our aero phys classes into a 30 minute sales pitch for caffeine pills and how he uses them every day.

They had us take a FACT at IFF that was somewhat similar. It was different from the original weight lifting one at Laughlin but was somewhere along the lines of what you describe - a lot of cardio and not much else. We did some situps, high knees, squats, and some other shit. There was no maximum score, there was only "recommended" numbers and it was like 40 of each. You couldn't pass or fail to test so everyone just did the minimum number. It was a joke of a test.

The dudes administering it said the same thing. I guess AETC was trying to revise the test so they were trying all sorts of weird shit and, since it hadn't been decided how to give the test, they couldn't actually make it count for anything.
