Also if their orders were extended from <180 days to >180 days then the reduction in per diem should only apply from the order ammendment date, not the entire TDY. A lot of them aren't informed of that until too late, unfortunately.

Last 3 TDYs I went on booked through DTS, I was issued a non-a, but since there were preferred commercial lodging available, my lodging rate was capped at the highest available preferred rate, about $20-60 below the max lodging rate. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk That must be new in the JTR .....
August 30, 20187 yr Anybody know if the proportional rate is authorized on your orders, but you choose to stay off base for $60 per night, do you still get the proportional meals? this is what the website says...”a. A member (not a civilian employee) is lodged in Gov't Qtrs on a U.S. Installation, and one or two meals are available in a Gov't dining facility/mess on the U.S. Installation;” So what meals rate will I get if I choose to stay off base for $60 per night when lodging is available?
September 27, 20187 yr Having problems with a voucher now. Just returned from TDY mid Aug. We ended up weather evacuating our aircraft 3 times to another base. Finance is trying to give us the GMR for all the days we were at the alternate location. I’m positive we should be getting full rate but can’t find a clear cut reference in the JTR. Anyone have experience with this kind of situation?
