Heard through the grapevine about this just now. Allegedly an Iraqi pilot in training, no word if it was dual or solo though.

In Naval Aviation, we always say these things tend to happen in "threes."

Mid-air? Both pilots are ok from what I've heard.

Or what about the crash in the NTTR the day before the Hogs crashed?  Pilot killed but very little known.  Any info out there on that?  Rough week.

I'm pretty sure this did not happen. I've been out here TDY for a little over a week and haven't heard anything like that. I think one did blow a tire or have some malfunction after landing the other day but that's all I've heard.

That exact scenario DID happen a few months ago.  It was one of their family-model A-4s.
