All,

For all of us Army Helo drivers that are planning on making the transition over to the "dark side", do you know if our SERE-C and/or Dunker quals make us "SERE and/or Water survival bypasses" when we attend SUPT?

It does for Helo-to-Helo transitions. Don't see why it wouldn't for FW as well

Awesome Thanks!

I was told that they would not by a LTC that I had been speaking with about the process.  The only thing that I think Army Helo guys get to bypass (if they are already commissioned) is OTS.

Ahh ok, something else to consider before making the switch, even though I'd go through SERE again before going to WOCS

Did SERE C and the dunker while I was in the Army. Had to do SERE and H2O survival again in the AF.

Did they realize SERE C is a qualification outside a specific service?

We don't make ground guys do it again if they have a C qualification. It's a waste of time and school seats.

Water survival I get because even if you Dunker Qual you have to do yearly recertification if you do over water ops.
