April 4, 201411 yr "Conduction some civilian training" ...good luck on your ATP Got a question for you all, someone in the office said now that the waiver authority has been delegated to AFPC, you must pull your VSP and resubmit under the new guidelines. Has anyone done this? Had anyone (11M) been approved VSP yet and this is what they did or was your app the original one from back in Feb? Edited April 4, 201411 yr by chizz

I would very much doubt everyone who's been approved so far put in a new application, had it go through both commanders and approved by AFPC the same day. At most we're talking new SOUs uploaded but then the SOU from 14-08 hasn't changed so what's the point?

April 4, 201411 yr i resubmitted one a few weeks ago after the initial UPT ADSC denial in feb just so i'd have one on file in case the waiver came through Certainly in that case but that is different than pulling an active app IOT resubmit. Lucky for me my CC slow rolled the app trying to game the system and it reached AFPC after that initial denial wave blew over.
April 4, 201411 yr I like how the only thing they changed on the time line slide was to remove the icon for when airmen will get notified of their package approval/denial.
April 4, 201411 yr Apparently A1 said at SOS VSP apps would be processed today, guess that wasnt the case.
April 4, 201411 yr Certainly in that case but that is different than pulling an active app IOT resubmit. Lucky for me my CC slow rolled the app trying to game the system and it reached AFPC after that initial denial wave blew over. Mine never got denied after I submitted it on 6 Feb. It took a while to get there, but it's now been sitting at "AFPC OFF Voluntary Separation Pay" since 5 Mar. Maybe I'll finally see a decision in the next week or so. I'm still not sure why some people's apps originally were denied and some weren't. Nobody can answer that question.
April 4, 201411 yr Apparently A1 said at SOS VSP apps would be processed today, guess that wasnt the case. Yeah, THIS was definately the milestone I thought they'd make. They seemed really cereal this time.
April 4, 201411 yr Notes:Recoupment Officers who leave the Air Force under voluntary separation and retirement programs without completing their Post-9/11 GI Bill Active Duty Service Commitment forfeit the transferred benefit, and any benefits that dependents used may be treated as an overpayment subject to recoupment by the Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA). Officers who wish to retain their transfer benefit may consider continued service in the Guard or Reserve through the PALACE CHASE program. See Attachment 3, FY14 PALACE CHASE Program (PSDM 13-65), for further information. For questions, contact the DVA at 1-888-GIBILL1 (1-888-442-4551). This note does not apply to officers approved for VSP or TERA. Anybody have any clarification on this paragraph? Aren't VSP&TERA the only voluntary programs right now?
April 4, 201411 yr Anybody have any clarification on this paragraph? Aren't VSP&TERA the only voluntary programs right now? LADSC waiver program which is originally where the ADSC waiver table came from in 13-65. Edited April 4, 201411 yr by lossofclocklossofdata
April 4, 201411 yr Did AFPC take the day off? I have not seen anything Ops related out of them today in the ways of approvals or denials. Anyone have news?

Ditto, Mine has been up there since 12 Feb.
April 4, 201411 yr I took a PCS instead of applying for VSP (although I really wanted to). I was afraid that I would lose my PCS while I awaited a decision. According to 14-08, I basically forfeited my eligibility. But now with the waiver release it says they will waive up to 2 years for PCS which is obviously what I incurred. So...I'm trying to figure out if I'm eligible here at my new duty station based on these 2 somewhat conflicting guidelines. Anyone have any ideas on this? Posted from the NEW Baseops.net App!

April 4, 201411 yr Nasty, thank you for your so helpful comments! You don't know the details of my personal life so I don't think you are capable of determining my wants. Posted from the NEW Baseops.net App!
April 5, 201411 yr Nasty, thank you for your so helpful comments! You don't know the details of my personal life so I don't think you are capable of determining my wants. Posted from the NEW Baseops.net App! Let me rephrase it for you in small words: if you have to ask if you can VSP instead of just rolling the bones, then you don't want to VAP bad enough. If you apply and aren't eligible, they'll deny it. If you're eligible, you may have a chance.
April 5, 201411 yr Let me rephrase my post for you in an acronym: E.A.D. Posted from the NEW Baseops.net App!
April 5, 201411 yr Haha, you really think this thing would be 122 pages if anybody actually knew who was eligible?
April 5, 201411 yr G.B.E.? No? I thought we were talking guitars.... Edited April 5, 201411 yr by nichter
April 5, 201411 yr My original VSP app was never denied. It made it to afpc 13 Feb. 2006 11M, still waiting on approval/disapproval in the "OFF OF VSP". Also prior E with 12.5 yrs total. Edited April 5, 201411 yr by shweaty
April 5, 201411 yr Apparently A1 said at SOS VSP apps would be processed today, guess that wasnt the case. Well...sort of...I had a 1 loadmaster get the VSP today....but that points out the know your audience principle...last check SOS didn't have too many Es in class..which are getting VSP results right now Posted from the NEW Baseops.net App!
