The report from the Air Accidents Investigation Branch (AAIB) said the fan cowl doors from both engines detached as the aircraft left the runway at Heathrow, puncturing a fuel pipe on the right engine. June 3, 201312 yr IMO, the decline of Speedbird began with retiring the Concorde. On the whole, I don't know of too many airlines that are better now than they were a decade ago. Maybe Emirates and a few others.
