A report published on Friday found that doors on both engines of the plane had been left unlatched during maintenance before the Oslo-bound Airbus A319 took off with 75 passengers and five crew. BA's maintenance is carried out by its own teams.

The report from the Air Accidents Investigation Branch (AAIB) said the fan cowl doors from both engines detached as the aircraft left the runway at Heathrow, puncturing a fuel pipe on the right engine.

In related news, at least two CAREER OVER lights have been spotted around BA's LHR hangars...

You are comparing the Walmart of airlines to Emirates? Very funny.

Not a comparison, just mentioning two airlines who are better off now, than 10 years ago. But then, neither are hiring like gangbusters, so I guess the boom is still a ways away...

You're comparing the biggest sales revenue company on the planet with a income greater than the GDP of the country of Emirates to SWA? Too funny.

Ok, when I mentioned Walmart I meant the "people of Walmart" not the company.
