March 13, 201114 yr What did I just witness??? ...a lot of imagination and perhaps a tad bit of hashish.
March 13, 201114 yr What you are witnessing is the rise of Bollywood. Hollywood makes most of the blockbusters, but Bollywood actually produces more movies every year. And since we've exported so much of the CGI work to India, they now have the technical expertise to start making their own over-the-top action movies. Looks awesome. They already got a fly-by-night production company to sign on for release in the US, on the strength of just that trailer. https://www.wired.com/underwire/2011/02/bollywood-sci-fi/
March 13, 201114 yr Author That's Aishwarya Rai, a former Miss world and she is simply smokin' hot! The plot of the movie is: Dr. Vasi (Rajnikanth) invents a super-powered robot, Chitti, in his own image. The scientific body, AIRD, that must approve the robot, declines it based on its not having emotions and the ability to make rational judgment. A sudden flash of lightning evokes emotions in the robot, and Chitti is seemingly ready for integration into the human world. Then, Chitti falls in love with Dr. Vasi's fiancée Sana (Aishwarya Rai) and turns on his creator. Made on a budget of Rs.180 crores (approx $40M), it is the most expensive Bollywood movie ever made and is the highest grossing Indian movie of all time! (Thanks IMDB!). Cheers! M2
