Even without an airshow it is worth going there...Van Nuys is the adult entertainment production capital of the world...unless you're not into that kind of thing. I know you are looking for civilian fields but Los Alamitos is about the best location wise to take a T-38 if you looking for newport orange county area. Also had some guys plan to LAX but end up not going, from what I understand they would waive the cart fee, but again that second hand info. I probably wouldn't test it just for fear of ground delay burning all my fuel. I look forward to what you find out about PSP. They're always looking for stand-ins to get the job done with a POV cam which means you can stay anonymous unless you have some sort of ink done on your junk.
