  1. Shiner is solid. Also, the KLTS Class 6 has been selling 6 packs for $5.99 for the past 2 months. So it's pretty much 90% of the beer I drink these days. 7/10 by itself, but 8/10 due to the fact that I haven't gotten tired of it like I do with a lot of the other stuff.

  2. A few years ago the Peterson AFB Honor Guard had a girl who was clearly overweight. Like 40 lbs or more. She may have been pregnant. Maybe. But I kind of doubt it. WTF is up with Honor Guard commanders approving the acceptance/retention of someone like that, especially for such a hi-vis position?

  3. At DLF the only time I remember the issue coming up was when we had Magoos (area solos) assigned to areas with the potential for IMC. They simply told us to stay VMC, but that sounds more like the SOF trying to spare some kid an episode of spacial-D when there is nobody there to help him. Just speculating, since I don't remember there being a policy one way or the other.

  4. That's awesome. I did some homebrewing when I was in Colorado. I used a pair of the Mr. Beer setups, and overall it cost about the same to make a batch as it would cost to buy the same amount of premium beer from the Class 6. It was lots of fun, and after 10 batches, I've only had one of them go bad along the way.

  5. Have you tried Mothership? It's an unfiltered Belgian White; certified organic wheat. By the same brewery. Ranger is spot on too, the liquor store by my house sells pint and a half's of Ranger and Fat Tire for $3... Dangerous

The Mothership is pretty good, but my favorite New Belgium is Trippel. It reminds me of banana bread a little bit...not sure why.

But for now I'm on the obligatory annual Sam Adams Octoberfest kick.

  6. Weird...your kid sister looks a lot like me.

Also, ###### that guy. He dedicated his life to inciting wanton violence against innocent people. In 500 years, people will marvel that anybody took the Quran so seriously, in the same way that now we marvel how ancient Egyptians took the Book of the Dead so seriously.
