I agree 100% on this. That was the only thing that really bugged me about the bag. Was the fact I had to take it to get not only frank stiched on but also all the Velcro. Plus depending on what unit I was with I either got it covered by the unit, the riggers/afe did it for us, or I have to pay out of pocket for each one đĄ. So here comes the OCP where if I have the tapes and rank already itâs go to go. Not now. Plus letâs make you get new patches for it even though what we have for the desert bag works just fine. That and the flag thing really annoys me. Why canât it be the standard color flag like the Army wears in the states but on the left or if you have the IR one you can wear that? How much more money are we going to waste on this new uniform even though weâve been wearing it for what 6 years downrange now?
-
While Iâm looking forward to getting to wear this. I donât like the fact that we went the lazy way and just copied the Army with how they lay out their patches. But do like how folks can now wear the combat patches they earned with the Army on their ground deployments. What was wrong with the way weâve been wearing the patches on the bag so far? Plus now I have to go and get Velcro sowed onto the top for the wings now.

cragspider replied to Toro's topic in General Discussion
Thanks for clarifying that, I forgot itâs a month. Yeah just the E-9, donât want them to feel bigger than they already think they are. -
Aviation Continuation Pay (ACP - The Bonus)
cragspider replied to Toro's topic in General Discussion
No. Part of it might be. But itâs only tax free up to what an E-9 makes. Anything over that is taxed. -
I know there have been some issues with the P320 with the firing without pulling the trigger. But Iâm not a sig owner, just what Iâve seen on the inter webs.

Iâll chime in on this discussion since I have both the xds in .45 and 9mm. Iâll say this Iâm not a big fan of the xde due to all the things M2 mentioned. After shooting both of my xdsâs I like hem both. While the 9 is newer so it has the updated/fixed trigger on it itâs fine. The recoil is just fine for a small framed gun. The wife has no problem shooting it. I donât have an issue putting multiple mags down range with the .45. Ive got the pinky extension on it finally and will be getting the 6 round mags to replace that soon. The recoil is a little snappy but it is controllable for sure. Now my wife didnât like shooting the .45 but would if she had too. Iâd look into either on of those for your wife for sure, esp if you can catch them on sale like I did with the 9mm.

Thatâs true, the standard J school program. 6 day weeks in the sim which should be at max capacity with the sims they have.

Aviation Continuation Pay (ACP - The Bonus)

Any changes to it? -
Check the vmpf for your line number. I know thereâs a spot for it on there. Now Iâm not at work right now to check but thatâs where Iâd look if you canât see the list.
-
It could, but I donât remember. It would be pulled if they had a continuation board anyway. But Duck wonât know till he gets back to work what his letter states.
-
If they didnât you just hit the lotto with the sep pay as well.

Gouge Request: How to log tax free months from last year
cragspider replied to a topic in General Discussion
This exact thing. They will give you a corrected W2 and youâd have to refile. -
I know one who asked to be passed over to get out got what they wanted. Plus they already have things lined up.
-
Duck congrats and good luck. Thanks for all the info you kept pushing out here for the group. You can make that 2.
-
Duck, thanks for keeping us informed with some of this info. At least someone is trying to get the word out. Would like to know what the âMAJCOM Commander Actionâ was.
-
You know as funny as that is, youâre probably right with that. Sad as it would be wouldnât surprise me if they pulled some stunt like this as well.
-
Duck much appreciated and I agree that they should just fess up that they messed up and will fix it next time. 17D, now that looks familiar from what was posted earlier. So if we canât trust our SR to pick the people who they think should be promoted then how can we expect them to pick the people who should go to school now?
-
So what is the truth behind the delay? Iâm out on much needed leave from the grind of this place we call work right now.
-
Thanks for confirming that. Now did you ask them why they took so long to get this out? Or why didnât they do a better job of communicating the delays? (Insert eye roll emoji here ahaha) but thanks. I know you are ready to get on with this as I suspect most of us are.
-
That would be absolutely hilarious if this did get Mad Dogâs attention and he un fâs this thing much to the dismay of the HAF, or get to the bottom of all this.

Which page is this? Iâd love to see the comments.

317 AW (Dyess) commander removed over âtoxic environmentâ
cragspider replied to spaceman's topic in General Discussion
For that breadth of experience they want. But yes changing airframes is cool but you need to go back to where you started so you can command there. So far in my time Iâve had 2 CCâs who where Phoenix guys, one was a herk guy first and he was a good commander from my point of view who loved the mission and knew what it was about. While the other was a tanker guy who came in and learned it midway through and wasnât bad. But now he is back in the tanker world. Iâve had others who came into it from a white jet first and did fine in the mission but they left things to be desired on the command side. But does all the experience make them better who knows. -
I donât see why we canât make this our own and be different enough from the Army. Like wearing the flag on our left sleeve, I also donât see anything about where we are putting our wings? Thankfully we can wear our tan boots and shirts for a little while at least.

317 AW (Dyess) commander removed over âtoxic environmentâ
cragspider replied to spaceman's topic in General Discussion
I wonât argue with that. Iâve has some really good commanders and some really shitty ones. Sadly the good ones are few and far between some days. We shall see how it turns out with the 04-06 yg soon. Iâd also agree that the 317th should have never been made a wing. -

Itâs about time AMC realize that they should stop putting non Herk guys in charge info Herk units.
