  1. Does anyone have any information on the details of what it is like to live in Okinawa without command sponsorship for a wife?  I've heard a few different things on the SOFA status, everyone in the AF says she would not get it, but i've read some things online that she would because I am stationed there and we are married regardless of PCS orders.

    Thanks for the help.

  2. This would be the Navy's equivalent of a skipper running his ship aground. A sure career-killer.

I am, however, impressed at how they got it stopped once they realized the runway was running out too soon. My hat's off to them, it looked like real skill to me. Too bad the military doesn't forgive or forget.

As Popeye would say, "How embarriskin'".

I think its a bit more like landing on the wrong carrier like this, http://www.militaryphotos.net/forums/showthread.php?157850-US-Navy-quot-wrong-carrier-quot-graffitti

Two people have been picked up by helicopter after two RAF Tornado jets crashed in the Moray Firth.

The Ministry of Defence (MoD) said the Tornado GR4s, which have a pilot and navigator, were from RAF Lossiemouth, on the Moray coast.

The RNLI said Wick, Invergordon and Buckie lifeboats were searching for two missing crew south of Wick.

The MoD said one of the aircraft had been seen in the water and the other was classed as "missing".

Aberdeen Coastguard was alerted to the incident at about 13:50.

An RAF helicopter picked up two people and flew them to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness.

The three lifeboats have been searching an area 25 miles (40km) south of Wick, in the Beatrice oil field, for the two crew who remain missing.

(CBS News) A police officer and an off-duty airline pilot subdued a JetBlue captain Tuesday aboard a Las Vegas-bound flight when the captain started pounding on the cockpit door after the flight's co-pilot asked him to leave and subsequently locked him out, a federal official told CBS News.

The captain became incoherent during JetBlue Flight 191 from New York's John F. Kennedy International, prompting the co-pilot to get him to leave the cockpit, the official said. JetBlue said in a statement to CBS News that the flight was diverted to Amarillo, Texas, "for a medical situation involving the captain."

A different federal official told CBS News that the incident doesn't appear to be related to terrorism, but the FBI is investigating.

  6. You should have access to UTDs once you start phase 1 so you can hop in and throw all the switches until you get bored. You'll think you can start the plane in 30 seconds and I promise it will still take you 10 minutes on your dollar ride. Just take it easy and be ready to study your ass off at IFS and UPT.

Where do you go or how do you get access to the UTD(T-6) other than when you are scheduled for it?

    Thanks
