The DQHB that will be seen is now electronic, everything they see should...should be updated as of the day prior to the board. I had a bro who had an MFR signed by his Wg/CC stating his masters and IP upgrade would be complete by board start date to ensure he had his bases covered, even though it should have been updated. IMHO have everything complete ASAP and have it in your records if you can a few months prior to avoid any records mishaps or stress. BL: trust but verify/cya/own your records

Things have happened on the mainland but nothing to the degree of what has happened on oki. In my time at Japan we had one incident on the mainland one of which was small and had no repercussions...

Very true on the perspective part, but I just wonder when is someone going to say enough is enough? It seems when things go wrong on Okinawa they are making their way up to the mainland now, not just staying down south.

Yokota was the best flying assignment one could dream of! Now because of these constant run ins at Kadena and stricter curfews It seems I wouldn't wish that assignment or any Japanese assignment on anyone these days. It's going to be total lock down for those poor saps. No more Roppongi trips til 6 am, no more getting to go out and experience the good times Japan has to offer. What a damn shame... Lets hope there will be light at the end of the tunnel.... But damn...AF dude at Kadena, a 13 year old!?! What a way to go out as a punk that punched a 13 year old in the face... Stupid... And thanks for the added curfew mess

I think this needs to be seen before anyone goes to SOS: Apparently we had too many people with out enough to do in 1959... Serious question that made me come out of lurker status: wise or unwise to take graduate courses while at SOS? I've read the previous posts saying golf and 6 hour days, but I am looking for something a bit more recent. Also, how is the new 8 week course now that beta is over? I am one of the unlucky ones who got to do both ASBC and SOS-C before the extended SOS-R and let's just say I am super excited to repeat the best two weeks of ASBC again. I sure hope it is BT3. I also attended the last class. You have plenty of time to work on your degree. We partied hard while I was there. It was animal house 24/7. Good times!

What is everyone's take on the new policy at Dafra? How long do you think this policy will last? Warriors, Effective immediately, civilian clothing is authorized for all Al Dhafra personnel in the Phantom East and West compounds while engaged in off-duty leisure or physical fitness activities. Members are required to be in uniform during any official duty (including in/out processing) and on all other US portions of the installation including MOTOWN, Munitions Storage Areas, Patriot Battery Compound, etc. Clothing worn off the US portion of Al Dhafra AB must still comply with AEWI 36-2903, Community Standards, Chapter 3, para 3.1.1. This policy considers host nation sensitivities while also supporting ongoing efforts to transition to enduring operations at Al Dhafra Air Base. These changes will be included in the next Community Standards update. Please review the attached policy letter for additional guidance. Well done and well deserved...

When SQ/CCs include the words "SOS" and "AAD" in pre-deployment briefs (directed at first time deployers, i.e., co-pilots), then you know the train has come off the rails. And yes, I've seen it first hand in different squadrons with different commandersFat chicks.....It unfortunately has become the new norm USAF wide. From someone going through a few MWS's now and the different leadership it is all the same...Get working on AAD and ready for SOS, and don't forget to do your bake sales! All the time trying to learn your mws. The real focus has gotten too far out of hand.

Get two yards if our fabric take it to the taylor/seamstress and they will do it up right. Get it done on your arms and on the back. I had a football jersey on the back with team sleeves. For an extra touch have them put Velcro on your shoulders for patches I thats your thing. It should work out for you.. Good times

Fat Chicks, sorry about that, was throwing too many back with chuckswartz, I was even at a few of those games to boot brother... It really IMHO comes down to players. I'd say bama in a landslide talent wise and their defense is so damn suffocating its sick! Due to their Overall talent (minus special teams) and single loss to LSU in OT they make a better bid to be #2. So let's just implement a damn playoff system to stop the madness. I think we can all agree on that.

Playoffs, Playoffs! I think that debate is final after this years CFB debacle... Exactly... and thats why there will be Bama LSU II

OSU Lost to a 6 and 6 Citadel type program (OK not that bad).... However it was after a tragedy took place within the school... Bama lost at home, however they took it into overtime and pretty much lost the game themselves via special teams. OSU beat more nationally ranked teams, Bama only beat two... It looks like this is a toss up, but I would have to agree its Bama over OSU. Both LSU and Alabama feature defenses with NFL caliber players at every position. Defenses win championships! The purpose of the BCS was to objectively find the two best teams at the end of the season and match them up in a game designated as the national championship game. The two best teams left other than LSU are Bama and OSU. If it comes down to a team that has lost a game, who had the worse loss, Bama or OSU? OSU in a landslide... Iowa State, really....

Who should play for the BCS National Championship? Alabama v. LSU or OSU v. LSU?
