From start to finish, mine took 7 weeks (with a waiver required) Luckily leadership at my SQ helped make things happen. If able, sit down with leadership and probe the possibility of expediting things. SQ CCs have connections and the ability to call people most others cannot. I made the mistake of calling HQ and it almost ended badly so do not follow directly in my foot steps... that said, the squeaky wheel often gets greased. As for your personal statement on the AF215... there is a high probability that your wing commander has not seen your package yet. If I were in your position I would ask my SQ execs to call over to the DCO/GP/WG execs to see if there is an option to modify your form. It is my assumption that the Pilot Board takes everything into consideration; a blank white box that gives you the freedom to express your intent or display your acumen may come off as you not caring or a lack of SA on the paperwork.

Classic, complete packages were due to our DCO (group) on the 30th… guess I’ll reach out to them since I doubt they’re tracking this 😕 thanks for the heads up!

The PSDM references DAFMAN36-2100 which stipulates "4.1.3.4.2. Officers meeting the following criteria are exempt from involuntary crossflow consideration and ineligible to apply for voluntary crossflow consideration. Only waivers for Total Active Federal Military Service are considered. Waiver authority for Total Active Federal Military Service is AFPC/DPML" It expands further in 4.1.3.4.2.16 that there is a 2-year period so a ETP may be needed for your case. I would reach out to the MPF on base or your SQ/GP/WG execs.

Definitely tell them if you have not already!!! We're nearing crunch time and it would suck if they didn't know. To be honest I'm surprised your DCO/GP/WG isn't already asking for things via TMT. Our DCO made the tasker the day the PSCM dropped and set the first suspense for 30 June

The process isn't really outlined anywhere, given my experience I have made a guide to help the members in my squadron command and concur. Please take a look at the attached PDF! I'm sure it can help you and others who may be struggling. Medical Guide.pdf

Story time! This past year I was in a similar boat. After working closely with my outgoing Squadron Commander, I asked if he would be willing to write my letter of recommendation... He agreed, and before I could send him a draft, he sent me a complete letter of recommendation. This letter was personal and enduring. Our new squadron commander was in the seat for 3 months prior to last years board. He too was advocating for me and UFT/UPT. He made some calls and determined that the letter would hold a lot more weight if it was authored by my Wing Commander. I was very apprehensive towards this. His explanation helped me make the decision. "Rob, members report to squadron commanders and squadron commanders report to wing commanders" When the wing commander signs off on a letter of recommendation he is trusting leadership down the stream to vet each and everything he signs. At the end of the day, I sent my letter to the wing execs who, with the wg/cc, modified what my old squadron commander wrote. The adjustments were minimal and the letter still sounded very personal. Despite my commanders guidance and the outcome of my Wg/CC letter, I was still apprehensive about submitting this letter. My mind changed after my original squadron commander gave it his blessing. I will forever be grateful for his leadership and kind words. That all said, I was not picked up last year. This years plan is to write a letter with my leadership here and have a connection I made at SOS endorse/sign it. If I were a betting man, my letter of recommendation and its endorser had nothing to do with my failure last year. My poor AFOQT/PSCM score most likely the cause. (retaking it on 19 May and flying as soon as funds allow) PS. I've heard the personal letter hold more weight in some of the past boards, can anyone confirm that?

For real! We have a very motivated member who's getting the rigmarole with our medgroup right now.

Welcome! I guess it varies by squadron size (Sq timeline is ultimately up to the SQ/CC & CCE) The shift in timeline this year sucks for those who have not initiated their FC1 yet. I asked our Wing Execs what members can expect if they're waiting for the adjudication of their IFC1. Their answer: Submit a memo with your partially complete package to the DCOs and Wing CCEs extrapolating your medical timeline. If, by the time they submit it to AFPC/DRMO, your package is still incomplete, it will be shifted down in HLR Stratification to ensure that the complete packages are competitively stratified across the Air Force. (this will like vary wing to wing) Break Good luck on your tests! Welcome! I plan on taking advantage of the super-scoring method as well! Not sure if I will have the funds to complete my PPL yet, but I am only a few hours away from the last "gate" so my intent is to get there by June 1. Break Break Our wing just published a timeline for all of those who are interested: Squadron Suspense: 20 June Group/DCO Suspense: 30 June Wing Suspense: 15 July Board Suspense: 15 August

After a brief skim of the PSCM it looks like the timeline has shifted left to 15 Aug, glad we will now get notified prior to the holidays. Additionally myVector has been nixed as the final submission step. Break Is anyone planning on retaking their AFOQT this year? I would like to take mine on the 7th of May and have some study guides/note cards if anyone is interested. Break PSCM 25-44 FY26 is attached below, if you have trouble here is the link: https://www.my.af.mil/gcss-af/USAF/ep/browse.do?programId=t0ECF2BB852AD5A280152C257EBA7018E&channelPageId=s330D98A14DFE211B014E2178A7BD03FF Break Lastly, I'm working with my DCO/Wing to determine their deadlines, expect me to post them here as they come out (while not the same everywhere, I'm sure the dates will be similar across the Air Force) PSDM 25-44 - FY26 USAF Undergraduate Flight Training (UFT) Crossflow Selection Board Call for Applications.pdf

A place to share information and talk about the FY26 UFT board. With the dropping of the FY 26 PSDM Today, this forum will be a good spot for us to muster and bolster our packages as a team. Expect more to follow, until then - Rob

This is my first year applying for UFT as a CSO and I am in the same boat. I'm ashamed to admit that I've been checking our loss listing daily. I'm about to head off to SOS so that should help keep my mind off things.
