    Hey guys, calm down a bit this looks like it might get a bit heated soon. Demo, I was one of the first people you sent the files too, I have been doing some but not all of the stuff in there (I know, need to get on it, the mostI do is the reading glasses), and John (bushmaster) sent me a cd in the mail with the stuff about 2 years ago like he said, I lost the CD he sent me thouhg (my mom had a nack for bunching cd's together with no label on them and then.. well that cd was good as gone). I was just curious if you had heard anything about the astigmatism changing. We havent heard muc hback from DumaisJ perhaps he has had these FC tests done that would tell us whether the effects were permanent or lost with these eyedrops.

    John, I am confused here a bit buddy, It looked for a while you were noticing results yourself... lol all these medical terms are drivign me nuts!! I was gonna say though, not to be argumentative, I checked that list you mentioned (sci.something) back when you posted it before. I do say they do present some good argument, and again Im not going against either of your guys's word on this as I respect you both but just my thought, these guys are visions specialists who are losing money from these alternatives like Myopia.org, SCM. While I do give weight to their argument because they are in the feild, you can't deny some of the claims we have read here. But then I just get confused with all of these other terms like axial psuedonym so, my opinion should not carry much weight jsut tryign to prevent a flame war here

    The following is just an analogy which is why I came up with my opinion, I woudl analogize it to the medical feild, I have spoken with many doctors that say that alternative treatment methods (accupuncture, herbology, stuff of that sort) is all hogwash, however, my mom has severe back pains and the doctors continually up her dosage of pain medication and then prescribe other medications to counter the side effects of those and then more medication. When she started to see an accupuncturist, she felt amazing (while Ill admit Ill bet a good part of this pain releif was mental) she has felt benefits from treatment by accupuncture more so then beign doped up on meds, I too have experienced some help in my sleeping patterns from it. Herbology my Aunt had to go to the ER about 6 months ago for a heart condition she had related to diabetes, and they todl her she is lookign at a year left to live, as her heart was only pumping at 50% (some % Im not sure but definitely not a good % as they said they were giving her a year to live) and it would decrease rapidly over the next few months. She since then began gogni to an herbologist to help strengthen her heart and she jsut went back for a 3 month checkup, and while the % hasnt gone up anymore, it has not gone down either, and the doctors cant explain it.

    This show was amazing, well worth the drive from Tampa. Got plenty of pics, will post them when I get home, some turned out shitty but some turned out awesome (I just got the camera so I didnt know how to use it with all the features, but I took enough pics with different settings to make damn sure some came out good.

    These guys were much more laid back then I supspected also, I have run into some pretty dickheaded fighter pilots. I can't wait for the live CD, wish the 3rd set was gonna be on it, those were some amazing covers.

    Great Job Guys, We'll have to do the shot of weed another time, hope everything worked out with the guy that got towed.

    Anyone know what the average price of gas is in valdosta (or at least what its going for on Moody AFB), Im driving up from Tampa and wondering if I would be smarter to fill up in FL or if GA is still in the $5 /gallon

    Tooth/teeth issues (sensitive, root canal)

    I just had my braces taken off yesterday and I found out I am going to need a root canal on my #9 tooth (the left one of my two front teeth). I have no idea what trauma to my teeth caused this but they say I will need a root canal. I had a friend look at it that works for an office and they were telling me when it comes to root canals on the from teeth your most likely going to end up having to replace the tooth with an implant. My problem is this now, am I going to run into problems on my quest to become a pilot because of this root canal/possible tooth implant. or am I going to be just narrowed to specific Airframes or what.. Just wanting to know my options..

    Just picked up my copy yesterday at the Macdill AFB Exchange, $14.95 Not a bad deal, still on episode 4. While I am sure there might of been some things that were not filmed for the solo party I am surprised they let them tape as much as they did since its a secretive type thing.

    I dont understand why its his favorite joke, like what trouble does it cause the mechanic working on the plane if he forgets to turn it on?

    Hey, I got my CD a few days ago, and have listened to it nonstop, I know they explain some of the terms in their insert( I knew most anyway). But I was curious of a few things.

    Awesome, I lost my Tongue and Quill, (Hopefully I can get another). But I was also looking for like a template that would automatically load up in Microsoft word. I geuss im just trying to be lazy , if no one knows where one can be found. I will make one up myself and post a URL to it on here for everyone elses benefit (given someone will host it, Im not good with that sort of stuff)

    Aside fomr my vision, which is still in the limits, I have had a weight problem my whole life.

    I tried atkins lost a great amount of weight but found after I decided to get off of it about half of it came back. I have begun a low calorie diet, and to help out I have been taking Calcium Pyruvate to help out, it is a natural drug (I know that doesnt speak for much so was ephedra) but it is meant to increase your bodies expenditure of calories in rest mode and thoruhgout the day. I have not felt any side effects, I took hydroxycut a few times back when ephedra was still legal and I was full of energy, I feel no different on this. I have noticed in just 2 weeks doing it (havent hit the gym yet) some clothes fit looser and I have gotten comments I am sure this is more in part due to my low amount of intake (of cals) .. But Bottom Line..

    Is this gonna be a problem for me down the road as far as whats allowed to have been taken and what is not?

    I was just wondering what are these H-1 levels, I dont have significantly bad hearing, but I sometimes have to have people repeat themselves, and I was wondering a good way to guage what exactly Is passable hearing is there some test out there? Thank you

    Hello, I was wondering, I looked on the army website and coudltn really easily find much info about the Fixed-wing aricraft the ARMY operates. Also, I know the number is very low but what are the actual numbers of slots that Army pilots get for fixed-wing. Also, what base possibilities does it open up to being stationed at as a Fixed wing aviator in the Army, what possible base assignments.

    I also was reading the Air Force times today and read about them making cuts to flight pay, I didnt fully understand this, if anyone has more info could they please explain it a bit more, it sounded like the NAV's and ABM's are getting flight pay cuts across the board and like only those who have been in 4 years are getting flight pay cuts. I just didnt fully understand that.

    I'm not fully versed on intricacies, however to my knowledge AAS is strictly AFROTC cadets. I would suggest you look into Silverwings. Silverwings is the Civilian sister organization. They do lots of stuff seperate as well as in conjunction with AAS. Being Silverwings you are also invited to the NATCON and ARCON meetings and youll have just as much fun. I am not totally sure if youll get the type of contacts you are seeking throuhg AAS anyway, but you might want to check it out. The major downfall is that not every AAS unit has its own Silverwings, and they dont function stand alone so, good luck to you, I hope I have helped answer your question.

    Just in case anyone has this problem in the future, after searching AFI-48-123 I wrote someone at the AETC Waivers and got this back. This settles my stomach about the procedure somewhat, however still leaves some question on the floor. I will have to do some more deciding to wheteher I will go through it or not. Since they say it is a possibility, I am still unsure of how I should handle this situation.

    As with any surgery it's between you and your physician. However, if you elect to undergo the procedure we would be willing to consider you for a waiver after you have been cleared to full and unrestricted activities. We would also review for a waiver for Flying. We would have to have a consultation from your dental surgeon outlining the diagnosis and prognosis after you have been cleared for duty. Please understand that there are no guarantees for waiver.

    Thank you, how do I go I about getting a hold of this manual? I appreciate the feedback this definitely sheds some light on it. once I find out what exactly will be done, and the manual is not clear who should I contact I know recruiters are usually not the best source of info.

    General surgery questions

    Sorry to bring this back up, if no one had an answer, would anyone know who I could contact to find out. It is getting closer to the time for surgery, they will be cutting my jaw and then inserting some metal so my jaw is poperly aligned within 3 months the bone grows over the metal, while my overbite is not really that bad I figured I might as well do it while I got my braces on, but if it might DQ me I will opt out.
