Did anyone receive an email from IFT with more information other than their original RIP?
I figured we would have received a follow up email after the RIP with more information, but I haven't got anything new.
When's your IFT date? I wanna say I got an email from Doss about 3-4 weeks prior to my date.

Anybody know how it works to get their dates pushed to the right? I've received UPT RIPs and vmpf notification, but we're expecting a child around the time I'm supposed to PCS and class up. I told AFPC a month ago and my commander is looking into it but so far it's all fallen on deaf ears

I'll see you there!

Got my UPT RIPs, headed to Vance. Anybody else headed that way?

This is Physio training. Looks like you have the same dates as me bro!!
If yours is the same we’re going to Parachute/Water survival on 3-4 June and Physio 26-28 June
RNLTD To Pcola is 3 May
Not me, you're probably talking to the guy I replied to. Have fun at Pensacola though, it's a great location to train at

Only guessing but that might be water survival. Pretty sure it's a pre-req for flying at Pensacola. If they're still doing it at the pool in Spokane it's a good time
"Back in my day" they sent us to IFT then SERE/Water Survival back to back before starting UCT.

Saw this on my CDB, but haven't received any emails. Everything I found related to this is the MFS, which is the last 3 letters of the code, but the 29th is a Thursday...don't these things happen on Mondays? Has anyone else seen this look like this? Also, this just dropped this evening and is 7 days away...wtf man

I'm doing MFS on a Thursday (tomorrow). I got the rips email for it about 2 and a half weeks in advance though

Were they both RIPs? Or just an informal email?

I’d check email. Mr. Caetano just blasted an email out about folks possibly not needing MFS. It starts off asking if you wear contact lenses. Reference below from a sentence pulled from the email:
”if you have had an MFS approved (not the same thing as an IFC1) you are likely to not require another MFS” another line says if you are scheduled for something that you do not believe you need, let them know
Yeah I saw that email too. For the life of me I can not remember if I already did MFS there or not though lol. I don't think I did. Pretty sure I went to the local AFB near my home that could do it for CSO. I know I've been to Wright-Patt for the centrifuge so I'm confusing that TDY with MFS in my memory. Where can I check to confirm?

Congrats! Are your MFS or IFT dates shown on your Career Data Brief?
Yes they are. There's a blank third line below them where I'm expecting upt to populate

Hard to focus on something someone else gives you!
Obviously you can do certain things to improve odds but kinda sucks if you just happen to be competing against some rockstars.
Not to mention different commanders rank differently. Some do it based on time served/seniority. Some pick favorites. Some do it based on merit.
Helps to have a healthy working relationship with your squadron commander and group commander if possible. They'll vouch for you.

UCT select, not sure yet if I want to take it
84 PCSM/97 AFOQT Pilot/PPL
I was offered ABM on the last board, declined for a shot at a UPT slot.
If I decline this one I'd be ineligible for the next board. Does anyone know if there are waivers for applying to the board a third time?
I'd have to look it up same as you but my understanding was only twice.
If that's the case, speaking from experience CSO can be an excellent career field. If you have questions about it feel free to shoot me a DM

UPT Alternate
83 PCSM/78 AFOQT pilot/PPL
Anyone know what it means to be an alternate? Do alternates ever get picked up?
EDIT: Got a call from my cc earlier to confirm and it seems like there’s about 25 alternates selected
I was an alternate last year. I emailed the AFPC board asking about how it works and they weren't clear in their answer but it sounded like alternates are for anybody that initially rejects their selection, not for anyone medically disqualified later on, although I've heard word of mouth otherwise. Maybe someone with better data can chime in.
I replied asking how I could make my application stronger, waited, and was selected this year. So don't be discouraged, just be patient and keep working hard. If you want, DM me and I can pass more helpful info.

The past few years, CC notifications have been a week prior to official PSDM release. But this year could be different with the new process they implemented.
Right. I was referring to the AF portal page saying otherwise.

Nah the VML has nothing to do with it . The civilian last year explained it to me as just a crazy long process. Can email afpc direct and ask but should be this week
The portal page says next week. Why do you say this week?

From what I'm seeing in that recent update, it looks like they are aiming to post to regular myFSS on the 31st and Secure by the 29th. I think the 7 day advanced notification isn't happening this year due to the delays in staffing the PSDM placing them behind schedule on getting the results out. I imagine there is 2nd and 3rd order effects from this such as MFS appointments not able to be met by those that received CRS not having the 30 days to submit their records and just the human factor of people having life events that might take priority over the short notice appointments.
With all that being said, I am hoping and being overly optimistic that results come out this week and they were being "safe" with their projection of next week. Especially since it is already in the PSDM staffing phase.

Does anybody know how to self-induce a coma for exactly a week and a half? I don’t want to feel anymore.
Well commander notification should be next Wednesday. Only need a half week coma then lol

I got a buddy who just finished ENJPT with F-16s and said while he was doing his advanced G training to 9gs (only for 16s and 35s) he ran into a few people who were being reclassed out of A-10 to F-35 due to a draw down. But it would make sense to keep the pipeline alive just to have a good distribution of experience through the platform.
Confused about that advanced G comment. 15s also regularly pull up to 9 Gs, and I assumed 22s did too
Edit: but yes, if you look at future plans for the air force, it doesn't include A-10s. You might still drop them but I doubt get a full career in them

Just being selected. I used the EFMP trick to find out where I was going after a couple weeks and then about a month and a half later I got my official assignment notification.
What's the EFMP trick?

Are you sure it doesn't say "NET" 4 weeks? (NET = No earlier than)
Also right now TTS isn't sending LOAs until about 1-2 weeks out. You should receive an email from Doss about reporting instructions any day now. Might be worth reaching out at this point
