Awesome! One thing I’d like to add is that she will get the automatic 1 percent matching after 60 days of service but she won’t get the full 5 percent matching till two years of service. Fully maxing her TSP might be difficult till she is around a 1 Lt. The additional matching in effect let’s you go over the contribution limit of 22.5k— but they are Traditional contributions by default for the matching. Too true! I am an older married guy going to UPT in the fall and after 4 bases in the last 8 years, the thought of one base for over 4 brings me blissful joy hahaha!

I’m at 7 years of service. I was told I don’t really have a chance of getting a waiver next year (hopefully that was false info). I’ll still fight for it if I need to next year.

No PPL for me as well; 98 AFOQT and 90 PCSM. First… and technically last time I can apply lol. In terms of strat… 1 of 1 haha. Not sure how that impacts the order of merit. Hoping for the best for us!
