  1. Here's the latest: 'Airmen Have Five Days to Get Immunized After Vaccine Exemption Is Denied or They Face Punishment, Air Force Says | Military.com'
'So far, the service has approved 1,133 medical exemptions, 184 administrative exemptions, but no religious exemptions for its active-duty force of about 326,000, the service said Tuesday. About 4,756 active-duty airmen are awaiting decisions on religious exemptions requests'.

So should they remove that "Religious Freedom" CBT from MyLearning now or wait a bit?

This all makes you wonder why we even have a guard? Why not just roll it all into the AFR if they are technically federal employees first anyway.
LoL... I was clueless about the Guard once also. Then I Palace Chased and never looked back.

It makes me laugh the hardball our leaders play at times. In my past 20 years in the service, I have never seen as much policy and brain power (or lack thereof) go into anything that'd make a positive outcome for our troops.

So I got my 2nd jab a few days ago by the "deadline". As some will remember, I got the first one back in the summer before it was made mandatory and chose not to get another one. Other than a pretty sore arm for a day and a little bit of tiredness, I didn't get any other side effects from it. Maybe it is because I went so long between doses. Who knows? Who cares? Call it my booster.

What is funny (or maybe not so funny) is to now hear people in my unit talk about "long term" side effects. Seems that everyone is talking about the same stuff - Stiff joints. Muscle pain, mainly in the arm it was administered. Arthritic-like symptoms. Less stamina when exercising.

For me, the shoulder I got my first jab in four months hasn't been the same since. I don't have as much strength in it and I have less range of motion. If I sleep on it, it is usually throbbing in the morning. Did I hurt it doing something else and this is all just coincidence? I can't think of any other event when this could have happened. Other than that, I do feel like it is harder for me to run when it come to stamina. I've been a pretty avid runner and although I did put on a few pounds of "COVID weight" this past year, it just feels like something different. Who knows? I have read quite a few testimonies online from avid runners who run a hell of a lot more than I do who claim they've lost their stamina after their vaccine as well.

  3. So your problem is with the masks, not the vaccines.
Or...if everyone had gotten vaccinated, we wouldn't be wearing masks right now.
I don't think thats quite true. Between the people who've already had COVID (knowingly/confirmed or not) and the people who have had at least one dose of the vaccine (70%+), most of the country should have enough antibodies to beat this thing.
  4. Report came out last week that said we still had almost 100 US citizens who have not been contacted by DoS and have no way out. Theres also an estimated 1-3000 LPRs, and tens of thousands of SIV qualified individuals. (People who worked for the US government for significant periods)
The SIVs will never get out which I think is sad. But the DoS refuses to even consider them. Their answer is that they need to wait for their visa or continue to submit paperwork for it. If you haven't seen how much paperwork the SIV requires it's pretty appalling. But it doesn't matter because there actually is no way to complete the visa since it requires an interview and we no longer have an embassy in Afghanistan. These people are pretty bitter right now because they feel betrayed. If you look at how the evac went down, we largely got out only people that were important to politicians and public figures who spent tons of money to hire fixers.

So basically we just made 1-3000 more AQ, ISIS-K, etc.
  5. Interesting kerfuffle between OK Guard and DoD.  A F U to your mandate while folks are Title 32.  Other states have been contacting OK to see how they did it.  I expect/hope more states to join the pushback.
As far as I know, there has been no official DoD response, but an anonymous source to Voice of America (odd choice of venue) stated that DoD would push OK out of the Guard and simply list them as a "state militia."
Supposedly a threat to OK funding.
My money is on the NGB 'union' winning this one.

    Good...
Okay great. Then we just don't deploy and do DoD's dirty work anymore for 1/3 the cost.

I work in PACAF, so I don't know what Robins AFB is doing, but today the A3 was briefed that if you are retiring (I assume those separating will be included as well) before 01 April 2022, you will not be required to take the vaccine. This is new information as of this week and applies to the Air Force specifically.

Looks like the powers that be are slowly pulling their heads out of where the sun doesn't shine and coming to their senses.

I certainly wouldn't reward this behavior with an interview.

Y'all seem pretty content with invading someone's personal property for folks claiming to support personal freedom.

Happens to movie/sports/rock stars all the time and no one ever bats an eyelash.  In fact, the tabloids make people money off of this behavior.

I don't have the patience to go through every problem with the point you think you're making with this, but just one thing...

When you're trying to leverage something to make yourself sound official on this topic, probably don't make it the abstract from a 2006 study that itself used data from studies conducted in the 1990s.  You know, because that was a time when if you got the sniffles a couple days after your diphtheria vaccination, you first had to be enough of a to book an appointment with your medical provider over it, and then they had to give enough s to fill out the reporting documentation and submit it on your behalf after you left the office.  Whereas today anybody can submit a report in two minutes while they're on the shitter.

Not as easy to submit a report in two minutes while you're on the shitter if you're dead.  Who submitted the reports for the dead people?  Was cause of death officially determined to be a side effect of the vaccine or does death in general get an automatic submission into the VAERS system after being vaccinated?  With an almost equal sampling size between the COVID-19 vaccine and the flu vaccine, you have to wonder why the statistics are showing the C19 jab having a 175x more chance of death.  It's not even close, so where's the disconnect?  Are we claiming a "conspiracy" because it's so easy to submit a report these days?  Again, that doesn't explain the deaths.  Less than 50% of the people in the US get a flu shot every year.  Most of those are kids (because they're required to get it to enter school) and old people (because they're afraid of dying from it).  We don't see old people dying after getting their flu shot in this data regardless of any other possible causes of death that could have triggered a bogus submission to VAERS.

It is known that the C19 vaccines are highly concentrated because they designed it for old people and old people have weakened immune systems requiring a more potent immune response.  Of course I cannot find the article I read several weeks ago, but the C19 vaccine Pfizer was developing for children has 1/3 the dosage of the adult flavor and mentioned that they tested the child dosage on middle-aged adults and got the same immune response from the child dosage as they did with the adult dosage with less side-effects.  At the time, the vaccine developers did not have the time to research lower dosages during the race for an FDA approval for emergency use, hence why we all get a vaccine designed for >65 year olds.  There is a reason why they have a "high dose" flu vaccine specifically for old people.

  9. More CDC VAERS data. Kind of shocking comparing data totals through last December with all data from 1990.
    https://vaersanalysis.info/2021/10/15/vaers-summary-for-covid-19-vaccines-through-10-8-2021/
Wow... yeah my kids (less than 12) aren't getting the vaccine when it comes out and God help the schools if they decide to mandate it. Of course you never see headlines on the news saying you have a 175 times greater risk of dying from the covid vaccine than the flu vaccine.

Do any of the die-hard proponents of the C19 vax think this is concerning? I'd like to read your thoughts.

Three easy steps: Move to the Philippines. Marry LBFM thirty years your junior. Give middle finger to prior ex’s. Might seem a bit extreme but this is a well worn path my friends.

I would not marry LBMF.  Just exploit the acronym.

Does anyone else find it ironic that the airline tread has just turned into the financial advice thread, or is it just me?

You didn't think we were in here because we love to fly, did you?

  12. Yep.  A lot of people will talk a big game on the internet, but when faced with getting the same shot over a billion others have or losing hundreds of thousands of dollars a year, most will get the shot.
I'm sure that a lot of the airlines have guys who have millions in the bank, have side hustles and are living on a military pension that could flick their Airline job away like a annoying fruit fly at any moment. Not all of them have the stereotypical three kids from two ex-wives and a boat to pay for.

My wife & I both got it.

It’s fine I guess.  Felt a bit under the weather for a day then got over it, NBD.   We both still got COVID afterwards so it’s totally bogus, but that’s par for the course on this issue.  If you’re just looking to check the box, J&J does it faster than the others.

And it's not mRNA if you're concerned about "gene therapy".
