  1. I’ll raise you @AW91 $10 says no notification next week. Why? Because Air Force lol
  2. I'll say it--I bet we don't hear about an official date this week.
  3. Congrats @WannaBeAPilot442 You made the 100th reply for this thread! For this reason, you are going to be awarded with 7-10 more days of anxious waiting! congrats!
  4. @takingamessageThere is a PowerPoint on the Rated page however it is pretty superficial regarding the board process. Overall, the board is made up of a Sq/CC from each rated job along with the board chairman. They are briefed on how to grade the packages--essentially they take into account all details to produce a number from 6-10 which can be broken into a tenth EX. Lt. Col A rated Package A 9.2) Most boards across the force are run like this. There are likely categories like Rated ability, work experience/leadership and adaptability etc. The BL is each rates the package and applies a score. If there is a dispute of a score over 1.5 between board members on a package, they debate and compromise. The graded packages are then taken by AFPC and they begin allocating accessions chronologically starting with the highest rated package until no jobs are left--this is the cut line. There is a lot of outside stuff like ETPs, waivers to consider, etc but this is the general process. Also--with this board they could separate applicants by which job they have as number 1.. I really don't know Disclaimer--I know this through understanding the OTS process and having talked with a member that aided the board process before. I have no idea if there are any specific weighted categories like PCSM and AFOQT.
  5. @WeavYou’re not the hero we deserved but the one we needed. That being said it is 1245am here and I have no access to get the number so please someone provide this man the number!
  6. I'm in Afghanistan without access to a reliable unclass line -sigh. That is great though. Appreciate the info
  7. Nice! Did you call? Any idea about what day for CC notification?
  8. haha! great to know I am not alone in my compulsive pattern. We need another phone call to AFPC. I vote we pull virtual straws.
  9. Is anyone else refreshing the Rated page on the portal multiple times a day to check for a release date notification? I'm just hoping we have a set date by the end of this week...but I dream..
  10. I'll bet :22FEB public, 15FEB commander notification. Why? Because Air Force lol. Hopefully we find out this Friday! I just want to start planning as I am on this upcoming VML for winter.
  11. Yea I am already commissioned. Doing the active duty rated board that allows non-rated members to apply rated. Trying to gauge what the pipeline will be like towing the fam with.
  12. Looked the course up in ETCA and the training outline alludes to actual flight time and not just improved sims--anyone have gouge to confirm or deny this?
  13. Negative. This was all passed via email however in an earlier email, the POC said that they do not give out quota numbers until the list is released however pilot slots were a bit down due to COVID but not as bad as they thought it would be. I have seen in previous boards that once the list is signed and the release date is publicized, they have responded to questions with generalized stats "we had 200 slots and 300 applicants, most slots were pilot". Hopefully things move quicker than expected and we can find out next week
  14. Update: AFPC did brief the CC but has some adjustments before the list can be signed and finalized. Still estimating week of 15-19 FEB as public release so week of 8-12 FEB will be commander release. Once the AFPC commander signs, they will update the Rated Assignments page to reflect the official release date. Happy Monday!
  15. @Jdmuehle Yea you are right it really isn't that bad but I was enlisted security forces at that time so I just get flashbacks of it being 100 degrees and I would be sweating at like 0400. Best of luck on your second go. Curious what the timeline on previous boards looked liked once the AFPC commander was briefed. I would assume that means it is close to being publicly released. I am going to throw out first week of Feb as a commander release date. Who will call and be our champion?!
  16. @Jdmuehle I was stationed at Barksdale for five years. I'm pretty sure I would take Cannon over that place at this point. Are you applying for URT as well? It is going to be a logistical mess figuring out keeping the family together and packing up without orders. At least it is worth it in the end
  17. @robby8388 Nice to know things are moving along! The commanders release is 7 days before the public release so potentially could know the first week of Feb. Yea the area is awesome. Took up kiteboarding here and will miss the beach. Nine people applied here. I am also currently deployed so the time is just inching by for me. Ready to start figuring out the next move
  18. Let's all pull straws on who will call AFPC next and ask for potential release dates. I am in the process of trying to work the logistics of the URT pipeline if selected. It sounds like you will TDY from home station up until IQT and then will TDY en-route to new duty location--essentially a year of training in TDY chunks. I am married with two kids so trying to work out how to bring everyone with. Luckily we are currently at Herbie so can't complain if we have park there for another year but that much time away from family seems excessive. Anyone else dealing with this for URT or other pipelines?
  19. It sounds like it was an outlier due to the unique circumstances. I spoke with AFPC and nothing is official until they brief the AFPC commander and he or she signs it--which they iterated had not happened yet and won't until late Jan. They also said mid Feb is still likely the release window
  20. That does seem weird seeing as it should be related to fiscal quotas for the year. I'm assuming this board is looked at to fill the last slots for the year that are not filled by traditional sources. It could be that they have to have individuals in the pipeline by a certain date for this program. All speculation though.
  21. Following. I have heard RIQ and RFT are no more and will be one single course with more emphasis on an apparatus closer to the MQ9 GCS vice the RFT sims of old
  22. AFZ06--Wow that is awesome. Any way you can elaborate on the source? I'm wondering if his CC found out he was selected due to the PCS cycle and he is an outlier in terms of getting notified this early. Just seems strange as the AFPC office hasn't even briefed the APFC commander from what I have seen and he/she has to sign off before official release.
  23. Definitely want to share any info. We are all in the same nervous holding pattern.
