I don't think I've been to a flying squadron without a heritage room. A chief (noner) I know erected a heritage room with a bar tap in an AETC training squadron that isn't affiliated with flying. I'm like why? Not trying to be a dick, but his CC let him do it and expects the inbound CC to shut it down. Anyone see a problem with the bar? Said chief is going to a flying OG. He likes to slam doors and yell like he is back in SFS. I haven't said a word to him because if he does this in an OG, he can kiss his ass goodbye. Am I being a douchebag for not telling him he needs to tone it down before he leaves? I want to tell him nobody is going to be showing up on weekends to do PT with him.

Reading about the ass grabbing firing made me do something at Gold's Gym off base I probably wouldn't normally think of in a million years. I was walking to the cleaning station and had to pass between two pieces of gym equipment. A young lady was blocking part of the narrow path with her huge ass sticking out as she stood there. I turned my backside to her and proceeded to pass by her. That way nobody could say I grabbed her ass or something stupid because our backsides were facing each other.

Is this a sick joke or an outright abomination to mankind and those who design emblems?

I could have sworn I saw an email from the Wing essentially saying they are seeing decreased numbers for SOS in general for the AF. Commanders need to ensure they are submitting CGOs to attend. Trying to find that email because that is less money Maxwell AFB/SOS receives with lower attendance numbers. After reading some of the CGO posts on the forum made me think. Either this is a coincidence or maybe there is SOS pushback?

About 15+ years ago, a situation went down. I'm watching the tv at work and what was being reported by the media wasn't even close to the information we were receiving from the horses mouth. Take some information you receive with a grain of salt. Hard for me to watch Fox, CNN, or MSNBC.

The Chinese could be silent or lying and the media could be inaccurate. But that is where intelligence comes into play. Like HUMINT, SIGINT, IMINT, cyber, and the list goes on to really obtain a valid assessment. Someone already stated you can't trust the Chinese media or their government. They copy the Russian state media playbook almost as well as the Iranians. If there is an increase of people with dual citizenship trying to get the hell out of China. Would be another indicator of an issue. Why? Because they are on the ground there and might be seeing a different story than what is being portrayed on tv. Just my take.

Why aren't CCs and Wing Kings more open and honest about who may or may not be promoted? Or do they simply not have a clue about who will be promoted to O-4/O-5? I was talking to my CC about a Flt/CC who isn't going to be submitted for school. I told the CC you have to tell him how he isn't performing well and what he can do better. I spoke with the guy and he said if I don't make Lt Col, I'm okay with all the time I've spent with my family. I shook my head like hell yeah bro. I do feel as though if CCs were more honest about performance, most officers won't stick around in the Air Force.
