  1. Is your last name near the bottom of the alphabet? Lol...
  2. Yep its a no for me from the 68th. Still have not heard from the 709th.
  3. Gents, Many units do not send out rejection letters. With the volume of applicants, its sometimes not feasible to send them out. Theres no ill intention, its just the military. Take it if you haven't heard back that you didn't get an interview. They will make every effort to call, email and text you if they want to interview you.
  4. I would disagree. Over the past 2-3 months, Bogidope has had a huge list of units, and account the backlog of units that stopped hiring in the spring. I think we're just seeing a lull between packets being reviewed.
  5. I recommend calling units that haven't posted anything lately. Many units don't advertise they are hiring unless you call them.
  6. Yes. Doable. Very doable. Extremely doable. So doable you already have your foot in any squadron you apply to with those scores alone. Rock that cover letter and meet some faces (if you can) and you'll have it set.
  7. Ahhh ok roger. Thanks for the info on Hawaii btw.
  8. No worries! It totally depends on each unit. Some will send out rejection letters, some will not. It is unlikely that when invites get sent out, they take multiple days to do so. Its usually all on the same day.
  9. I should clarify that I am NOT currently in this situation, but want to be prepared in the event I am that lucky...lol
  10. Does anyone have experience turning down a UPT offer from one unit when you receive an offer from a unit closer to your home a month later?
  11. I'd like to chime in on this great discussion. My comments reflect my own journey so please take with a grain of salt. I've read many comments regarding AFOQT scores and the accompanying scores. Throughout the years of reading this forum, I've seen many comments (not on this thread) to the likes of "my Pilot and PCSM score are in the low 90's, do I even have a chance?" and it makes me cringe every time. If those two factors were solely what gets an individual hired then yes, definitely, you are probably in the top 10%(guessing) of people who achieve those scores and you get the job. Thankfully they're not the only factors. In my experience, far from it. I took the AFOQT in 2013 and my Pilot score was 67 and PCSM 70 (75 flight hours) and the other scores as equally average. Applied to units like crazy and got hired at my very first interview and got interview offers at about half of the other units. Average scores and low flight hours, you may ask, how did I get a job? I had a good attitude, and I put that across in my application and cover letter. I wasn't prior service and I hadn't graduated college either. Numbers on a page don't define you. You're selling yourself, and if you use those numbers as a crutch, the other areas of your application will be lackluster. I get it, 2013 was a lifetime ago now in the world of UPT hiring cycles and changes. Still, I believe what I said to be truer than ever. 20, 50 or 150 applicants you have no control over, and it assists you no way thinking about it. You have to tell the board who you are in your application. Why you. No BS, be humble and be human. You get that golden opportunity of a cover letter for a reason. Trust me, if I can do it, any single one of you can. Good luck, apply like crazy and don't look back.
  12. It says the recruiter provides it so I would email him and ask for it.
  13. Yes, I know. I put that to indicate my incoming message was for current mil only.
  14. *For current military members only* If you currently have a secret/top secret clearance, you do not need to do the EQIP. I reached out to them the other day and all they want is a confirmation from your security manager stating you're clearance is still good.
  15. Everyone getting amped for fighter units, meanwhile I'm over here dying for Tanker units to open back up 😄
  16. lol! She is extremely nice. I talked to her 6 years ago about UPT and was surprised to see shes still recruiting. Looking forward to seeing the application guide.
  17. Shes going to have hundreds of voicemails waiting for her after the long weekend
  18. I've had to resign myself from caring at this point. 10 applications out since March with either postponed boards or TBD's.
