  1. I would be totally down with cos, but at this point I'd even take Shaw just to get on the east coast. How can the greatest AF on the planet be so ing irresponsible with what itself thinks is going to be the future. Let's just drive this community nose down and on fire straight into the ground, but then sprinkle a few dollars on the corpses and claim ignorance why the majority hate it.
  2. Do you have breakdown for career field, or the link to check out specific info?
  3. http://www.af.mil/News/ArticleDisplay/tabid/223/Article/938315/af-narrows-locations-considered-for-basing-new-rpa-units.aspx Praise Jesus
  4. http://m.lasvegassun.com/news/2016/jun/24/creech-departure-langley-afb-promoted-as-home-for/ This is the most current info I could find.
  5. Last update from Apr 16 said candidate locations would be identified by summer 16.( http://www.af.mil/News/ArticleDisplay/tabid/223/Article/719458/af-releases-criteria-for-basing-new-rpa-units.aspx) Does anyone here know anything new or is it still shutup and color? With the first few batches of 18xers ready to punch soon I thought maybe there would be good sourced rumors as to what to expect.
  6. Once e pilots start coming in will they push out the O's? I'm a reaper pilot (18x) but actually wouldn't mind trying something new and going to California instead of angrily punching out like the rest.
  7. I was under the impression when I went from e to o, our e time could not be held against us and we were allowed to serve a full 20 o years, regardless of our tafmsd. I'd be pretty salty of they didn't offer us (prior e) continuation bonuses with our year group peers simply because of our enlisted time.
  8. $60k for each 12 month service of obligated service is surely the nuclear option. It's unfathomable they will offer $60k annual bonuses to pilots without extreme strings attached after they've exhausted all other options and are literally considering that "stop-loss" that GC refers to.

    USAA

What about their mutual funds? I parked my next homes down payment (~30k) in their USCCX cornerstone conservative fund because the interest rates in my USAA savings account is laughable. Although I've lost a few k I marked it up to market volatility... I'll be upfront and say I know "0" when it comes to investing other than maxing out my Roth tsp l2040 fund. Should I look into moving the money elsewhere or ride it out, I assumed their mutual funds were great...
  10. Obviously e's could do the job, however I think attrition rates skyrocket leading to wasted money on those studs who couldn't make it through doss/riq. Being a prior-e I knew many sharp amn/ncos who could easily make it through the program, conversely I knew many more mouth breathers who would be just as eager to volunteer and sand bag the program as a whole. You have to draw the line in the sand somewhere to separate those who can or can't.
