Can any of the frst two groups of released UPTers elaborate on the training back at their UPT bases? Whats the training like? Do they treat us like studs etc? Cheers.

I am getting my degree from Liberty. Easy school. But the book voucher only applies to undergrad. So still have to pay for your books as Masters student. Im half way through and it doesn't cause me to use many brain bytes.

As a guard LTC once told me, their are two types of pilots out there. Ones that have the true passion to do the job and could never see themselves doing anything else. The other types are the ones that thought being a pilot would be cool/something to do. The second type lacks that passion. Now, grant it passion can show up later on to some of those that fall in that category. However, most do not have that happen. If you think flying would just be cool but don't have the passion then go a different route. RPA's are a good venture for you then, grant it they suck to 99% of real pilots that got banished to them. But get that RPA stink on you and use that degree and go get a job with the companies and help them realize these are a POS and fix it. If you come to RPA's that will be one more that will help to get me the hell out of them someday. Like Rainman has said mulitple times that passion is what matters, my passion is still there and I will keep enduring the suck for the pure hope that I will leave the container in order to slip the surely bonds sooner rather than later. Is this going to be some backdoor plan to keep us in Preds? Im a UPT-D dude and after seeing the drops finally had a little hope in my eyes again.

Upt dudes and RPA only dudes have to do the Pred first. The only folks that can go Reapers first our dudes from previous airframes and sensors. The timeline to get a reaper answer is it depends. Mainly on where you are at say you get whiteman as your base at drop well it will be awhile considering whiteman only has preds. But it is green. Ellsworth will be a Reap only but it isnt stood up yet. So creech is your best bet to go pred to reaper the fastest. But if you really want greener land Whiteman is nice.

It's a UAV they arent actually going to be a the base only the GCS's which all they need is a building.

Whiteman is pred only and Ellsworth will be Reaper only. The new squadron that the air force will pick its base in Dec will be both. The three bases Big Blue is thinking of is Hickham Hi, Shaw, Sc, and DM.

The first group of UPT-D are putting in their dream sheets. Suppose to be out in Apr-Aug depending on training dates etc.. Planes have already been set aside for the first group not a bad "drop" looks to be. All UPT-D will go to refresher training in the plane they came from in upt ie. the T-1 or 38. Then off to their new real airplane. Finally things look good for all of us.

The only rumor that I have heard is that the first UPT-Direct guys will be getting aircraft and rips very soon in the future. They will be leaving in August/Fall next year. Good news for this guy if the rumor is true.

It's definitely green up here at Whiteman except for the heat wave that has tried to turn everything brown.

They have been saying this for awhile. However, the attempts keep getting pushed back. Hopefully they will get it up and running soon. I do believe it is the North Dakota guard that is dual qualed on the RC-26. For counter drug.

Rumor has it that in the 11-03 drop the RPA's will be going to whiteman. Finally standing up the new squadron there? Heard that they have been planning on starting up the new squadron there and eventually ellsworth. Anybody have any more details about this? edit: the RPA'(s) to whiteman were on the drop list.
