The T-6 had a CFS issue around June 2010 when they grounded the whole fleet and made it sound like it was possibly weeks or months before studs would fly again esp to get some elusive part from the manufacturer. Everyone was back up the next week.

Computer Engineer and Pilot. I've done it. The AF pendulum is constantly swinging so it's hard to say what the best route is, but you might as well do something you enjoy and will excel at. Just make sure you excel in ROTC too and the flying hours will help your chances as well. Feel free to PM me.

2. Don't forget the military discount.

Do it while you have the time. I knocked out half of my master's before starting UPT. You're probably never going to have this much free time again. If nothing else, you're saving yourself time down the road.

That checks. My class date was for a Monday, I showed Sunday per the IFS website to inprocess, and I had arrived in Pueblo Saturday night so I could rest from the drive then inprocess bright and early on Sunday and have all day to get situated. Inprocessing will take you an hour at most but the sooner you get there the sooner you can hit the soft-serve ice cream.

As long as you don't or haven't signed the lease yet, you should be good. Once you sign though you're committed for at least a year. Don't look at just the AHRN website, there's more out there.

It's not a terrible program. They're trying to get everyone on the LTs on the same page and give us more tools to take into active duty, even for us pilot wannabes. The kickball thing you saw was probably Icarus, dodgeball on steroids. I thought the game would be gay but it ends up being a huge strategic game with a bunch of ROEs. It does feel a little bit like FT or ROTC though, lot of hand-holding.

Can't say for certain (read into your university policies) but sounds like the answer is, NO. I had my share of D's but always maintained higher than 2.5 and never had to repeat a class. D is for diploma.

Being a core class does not necessarily mean you have to retake. For instance, English is a core class but you can get a D and move on to the next class. Calculus I is a prereq for Calculus II and you cannot advance with a D in Cal I. I know a buddy that was kicked out b/c of 3 conditionals, but also b/c he was just doing terrible in Mechanical Engineering overall. If your GPA is higher than the min each semester and overall you're ok, then don't stress (as much). Just get it together and bust your ass to pass (study, study groups, get help with hw, kiss your teachers ass, etc.)

This is amazing. Anyone know if the "program" has to be registered as well as the school? For instance, the University of Arkansas shows up, but the only program is their Operations Management (M.S.). My wife is working on becoming a teacher and her dept/program doesn't show up under the school. Does this matter?

Just wanted to let ya know about another Master's program out there: Master of Science in Operations Management from the University of Arkansas. It's only 30 hours and you can complete it entirely online and in as little as one year. They also have sites at Hurlburt, Little Rock, and Memphis. It's a program mainly for military by military. I won't be able to finish in a year, but am going to start next month. Hopefully I will be able to finish in the 6 year time frame and after UPT.

Most likely the same thing. As a Distinguished Graduate your cadre must submit a specific IMT Form recommending you. You're then racked and stacked and the top 10% of all ROTC commissionees earn the award. It's not a ribbon or anything else, it just goes into your permanent record. This past year there were over 2000 total graduates, so there were around 200 DG's.

Persons being appointed or commissioned in the Air Force may take the oath before a: 3.1. Civil official authorized by law to administer oaths. 3.2. Commissioned officer of any component of any Armed Force of the United States (includes Reserve components), whether on active duty or retired. (This includes commissioned warrant officers of the Army, Navy, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard.) 3.3. Warrant officer serving on active duty as an adjutant, assistant adjutant, acting adjutant, or personnel adjutant of a command.
