True, but it doesn't hold a candle to the AF movie classics out there...

Sorry, didn't look back far enough. My lack of SA bites me again. At least your +1 post because of it.

Forgive my ignorance, but what is that a picture of?

Washout stories
WEAK response...all the way around. Maybe try harder next time...in the mean time, choke yourself. Edit: couldn't decide between WEAK or or YOUR ATTEMPT AT RESPONSE/HUMOR = FAIL

This thread is getting mega- . It's a Dining facility, not a chow hall. There, that should get it back on track.

Look here LT, I pulled rank in my very first reply to your bizarre earlier post (remember my "Major Bag" hilarity?)...there, just did it again. Yes, I realize you're probably not a LT, but based on your posts it's an entirely reasonable assumption to make. BTW, are you a chick or a dude? I need to know so I can adjust my fighting style. Also, English is indeed my primary language, but I also know a little Dipshit-ese, so I was able to understand bits and pieces of your rambling. Anyhoo, I don't totally disagree with your "thoughts" on the subject. FWIW: As Huggy said, in his infinite wisdom: a firm 'NOTED' in response to "input" from an SNCO, or anybody else for that matter, seems to work great. Maybe throw some rank in there for good measure. You're maintaining a professional demeanor while acknowledging the fact that you may have committed a grievous infraction of mustache regulations (or whatever AFI you violated). It even implies that you're going to do something about it.

I'm totally confused now...it's like reading something a 12 year old who just discovered cussing would write.

Ummm...that's Maj Bag to you. I think it was a moderately successful clarification of your original points using somewhat dubious grammar and numerous misspelled words. Hey, you asked. So, who's not saluting the General's car? Is it the 19 year old hard worker or the DB LT yelling at the 19 year old hard worker? No...it's gotta be your bull...

Dude, I had to read that 4 times in an attempt to ascertain your point. Edit for coherence.

AFSC questions
Hacker's right, it doesn't do anything for your career, etc. In fact, it may highlight you down the road for a job you don't want. The duty titles reflected in your OPR's, training reports, etc. are a different story...

T-38 Class A @ Sheppard
3? Where'd 2 go?!? YEAH! - FACE! - indirect Top Gun reference bitches! Yeah dude, think we all got it. It was a lame joke - no offense. At least you called him No. 1 right back.

T-38 Class A @ Sheppard
Agreed, perhaps he should retain the title SNAP beyond 50 posts. Maybe change his screen name to Sally? Can't get to the link above, quick version of what he aborted for?

Return to Active Duty
Somebody may have already covered this, but the word around here (Airstaff) is that the only AD people getting Staff jobs are folks coming out of school (IDE). Staff assignments are also supposedly limited to 2 years now. This is all due to a shortage of operators. Of course, when my two years are up, they will probably say it's a 5 year staff tour... Just for the record, I'm not doing this job as part of some butt-snorkeling quest to make rank. The AF sent me to DC to get my masters, which I consider a good deal, and we didn't feel like PCS'ing again. Luckily, I landed in one of the best offices in this damn building. We rarely do more than 30 minutes of real work on any given day. The stand-up conference table is about 10 feet from my desk...hence a lot of drunk posting on here. All that being said, HUGGY GET ME OUT OF HERE!!!

I bet you are... Holy crap - if any phrase ever needed a STS, this is it. I can't believe I'm the first to catch this! Granted, the thread has been revived from oblivion...

Good topic start? A revival maybe...I swear I've heard this before... "Leadership at the Deid" https://www.flyingsquadron.com/forums/index...showtopic=14214 followed by... "READ THIS FIRST" https://www.flyingsquadron.com/forums/index...showtopic=12377 I believe UTFSF is in order. EDIT: You posted twice, so I replied twice...FIRST.

C-12 vs T-44 at Corpus
...other than living on the water and being 2 minutes from the beach. It was weird how everybody who didn't live on the island would always come out to our house to party...but we were single. It's been a while since I went though (10+ years). Do they still do the coupla' flights with fingertip formation and practice photo runs overflying ships in the bay?

"The Last Ace"
I believe Bowden was speaking to the critics of Les Aspin (SECDEF at the time), who pulled the AC's out a couple weeks before the whole thing went down. Bowden was trying to say that it wouldn't have mattered much in the end. For the record, I totally disagree. But what do I know - I only flew them, Bowden is the CAS expert.

Life at Al Dhafra
Dear ignorant jacka$$ (that's you DesertRat - and I toned that down after a cooling off period), I think I figured out why your post made no sense. Could it be that you're referring to the CAOC Brit bar at AL UDEID? We're talking about AL DHAFRA. I thought the title of the thread would be a dead giveaway, but apparently not. Here's what I believe: "Muff's Place" (aka "The Thirsty Camel" at AL DHAFRA) was named after fellow U-2 pilot Maj Duane "Muff" Dively who perished on June 22, 2005 while returning to base after a mission over Afghanistan. So I suppose it has some indirect connection with "female genitalia", but I think you can understand my disgust with the svs pukes who renamed it for whatever simple-minded reason they had. Now get back to work - I just saw two guys with reflective belts on upside down - go get 'em! Have a nice day. Godspeed Muff

Classic Thread - Blues pants w/ civilian attire?
<This was inspired by a guy I just saw walking down the hall...awesome.> Tracer, I'm concerned. It is January - what if it's cold out? Simple. Wear your leather jacket, minus command patch and nametag. It's super-Fonzi cool and I've seen it done many times. In fact, saw a guy about an hour ago with it on. And don't tell me you don't have one, everybody has one now. Huggy, please...I've been TDY with you. When you're not in the same flight suit you've been wearing for 3 days, your wearing that new retro service dress coat/leisure suit you're so proud of. It has it's own belt.
