Punk is one of the good ones, till this day still down to earth and takes care of folks.
Word. He even tried to undo damage from The Rhat.
He's the kind we need in leadership jobs. Hope he can keep it going, landmines and back stabbers and all.

Ehh, he was the one who acquiesced to Kwast to fuck up AETC and 19 AF. Shredder Sears (A2/3/10) refused to delegate his A3 authority because Kwast wanted him to focus on “force development and competencies” BS. So Shredder was sidelined and sent to the new A5/8 and Punk signed all the authority delegation memos as an O-6 deputy.
Sears got his second star because Kwast was fired.
Seems like the boss wanted an action and made moves to get it, or there was more at play.
Karma took care of it if I read this right.

That would be, in essence, the extent of the process that they are due. An officer in the field should be able to investigate and determine legal status fairly easily. I can prove my legal status lickety split...I get to stay. This idea that every alien should get hearings ad infinitum is absurd.

Here's another.
"Col. Christopher Meeker, the former commander of Wright-Patterson's 88th Air Base Wing, was sentenced Tuesday evening after entering a guilty plea to violations of the Uniform Code of Military Justice, including Article 90, willfully disobeying a superior commissioned officer, and Article 134, fraternization."
In other words, he was told to stay away but just couldn't do it. Her name must have been "Sunshine."
Side note, it's good to see that Punk is climbing the command ladder, 18AF now, probably a 4 star job in the future.

The left was all about going after Trump for breaking the law, so I’m sure they’ll be fine with going after their own for breaking the law.

Gotcha. I agree that anything above 4 units is usually deemed commercial.

She also got her appraiser to list a 5 Bedroom house as a 4 bedroom. A 5 bedroom house is a considered commercial property. With more inspections and costs
I don't believe you. A 5 unit, sure. A residential 5 bedroom single house, nah.

I saw this this morning. I have to believe that there's more to the story than this blatant a "F U" to the chain of command.
More likely, somebody has it out for COL Truckasaurus, the pics weren't in stock when said photo was taken, somebody removed them and then took the pic, etc, etc, etc, or some other more believable scenario.
If not, she's likely got a new job coming as Miley's fitness coach...
More to it, probably. It's not like the Army knew who was going to be SecDef 6 months ago, or that the new Trump pic is approved by him as he didn't like his portrait. Probably plenty of offices showing a smiley face in lieu of.
As for the COL, I want all Army women to look like they could knock you out at the bar.

On numerous occasions I've seen cops in my neighborhood turn their lights on when a car coming the other way was speeding, then turn their lights off and continue when the speeder slows down. Officers always have discretion and examples like you have above can be effective. However, to blatantly state as a policy that the police will not pull people over for minor violations is a license to commit minor violations.
I agree that laws should be policed. I disagree with a lot of laws tho. For example, an expired tag, which is more a function of revenue/taxes than crime, should not be a police matter. Parking tickets, JFC. Purely money, and again should not be a police function whatsoever. Now if the politicians want to delete laws, have at it.
Sorta funny, in AR a rep floored a bill that allows one to run a red light after they stop and there's no traffic, like a stop sign. The others didn't like it and it got the deep six.

Last year while driving, a dude cuts 2 lanes over and no signal, in front of a Sheriff's car no less. At the light, Deputy just gets on the the loudspeaker, calls him out, and tells him to use his blinker. A few honks from surrounding cars and a waive out the window from dude. Effective?

PM me when they hit bottom
Same.
My point is that some here are saying it now the time to buy, but the bottom keeps getting lower and lower.
Tesla is below what "experts" say was their rock bottom. Elon is asking everyone not to sell. Please help a billionaire out (not).
This stock market thing is getting out of hand and someone's gonna get hurt, paraphrasing from Red October.

Bro, does that reduce the motoring time? And if so, how has the world's premier operator of the 737 not adopted this procedure?!
No. Our FM says for the MAX, "This procedure provides an alternate engine start procedures in an effort to avoid a potential EGT exceedance when OAT is 40C/104F or greater."

Yikes. It is interesting and surprising what switches are guarded and what are not. Makes me wonder at Boeing's (and Airbus') logic for the guards. For example on the Boeing plane I fly, the engine fuel cutoff switches are not guarded. You have to lift them to go to shutoff, but otherwise no red guard. The stab trim cutoff switches? Yep, those are guarded. Makes perfect sense.
737 Electric hydraulic switches are turned on/off every flight, so red guarding those doesn't make sense. Also, in the Max, if its hot out the engine pump switches are turned off for engine start.
I've seen it once where the Capt reached over to turn on the eng heat but fliped the hydraulic switches, kind of a cross cockpit mistake. The master caution coming on at switch flip is the sign that the wrong switches were flipped, and that happened to this crew, but they reset the MC and didn't look into what or why.
Yep, what StoleIt said.

Oh, and Musk just got "fired" from DOGE.

Who said he would do that?
“No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice, and no person who has held the office of President, or acted as President, for more than two years of a term to which some other person was elected President shall be elected to the office of the President more than once.”
He’ll run as Vance’s VP, then once elected Vance will resign. Either way, it’ll wind up at the SCOTUS for an interpretation of the 22nd Amendment.
If Vance runs as pres and wins, he WILL NOT resign and give it back to Trump.

I'll take the licks. I forgot that a T38 will fall out of the sky at 299 kts. My flyovers were in a Herk and /s the wings will rip off at 300 kts /s. I assumed that flyovers were max 250 because of all the shenanigans over the years.

This is the pendulum swinging the other way. 2ish miles of lateral sep and 500’ vertical…non-event. Copy it’s an RA, but the system is predictive/lag tool and as it turns out, a fighter-type jet will trigger extraneous advisories based on speed/maneuver capabilities.
But it is an event, it made the news. One would think DCA would be changing their ways. Same goes for those that operate in that space. Saying this is a non event is only done with hindsight. Delta thought it was event in the moment. You think Delta was thinking, "Hey Bob, an RA. Must be those fighter boys doing a run in to Arlington. We'll be fine, no worries."
300Kts at 800' thru class B is another gem. Either someone approved that plan or the 38s flew faster than planned, likely with DCA approval. So someone is gonna get the beak for that item (approval authority or pilots/DCA controllers).
I was there a few weeks back. They are still packing planes in there with tight spacing and thus resulting in go arounds. And that is with EDCTs.
I agree, a few minute ground stop would have easily prevented this.
