TurboTax will make filing the federal portion very easy. That is what I use and I'm pretty sure I could train a chimp to do my taxes for me. But the state portions may be more complicated. Turbo Tax charges like $30 to file state taxes and I'm guessing they'd try to charge you for each state. If the free tax guys on base can handle it I'd stick with them.

I was thinking the exact same thing. Neither a filament bulb of fluorescent bulb operate from a spark. So I don't know where he got that idea from.

Is anybody a member of a private gun range? I'm looking into ranges in the area and found a really nice one that you can shoot any handgun or rifle indoors and is incredibly clean. They do a members discount on ammo and guns(haven't checked prices to see if the discount is actually a deal or not) and unlimited lane usage. But its a one time $350 fee plus $27/month for membership. The membership is transferable so when I PCS I guess I could sell it to somebody and get back a portion of that $350 but it's not guaranteed.

I didn't bother searching the forum before making this thread because I'm pretty positive it hasn't been discussed on here before. Here is a hypothetical for the forum. Lets say you were bored and happened to be browsing an adult website or two in your spare time and came across(sts) a picture that was of a friend of yours. And in this picture your friend is wearing her cheerleading outfit from college and the picture is clearly lifted from an Athletic Association archive or something similar. Sadly said picture does not link to any actual videos or images of the person in question but that is no surprise because, in theory, knowing this girl you would know that such videos probably aren't spread across the internet. And maybe this girl graduated a 2 years ago and you haven't really spoken to herl in about a year or more. Should she be informed or is she better off living life blissfully ignorant that her picture is right next to a topless black chick on a random website on the internet?

I didn't read it too thoroughly but it basically said that in mid January they're planning on standing up a new MAJCOM same as the thread title. Temporarily based out of Andrews I think it was... That was all I really took in from skimming the attachment.

There was an article today on eBird about a detainee who got released and called being at Gitmo "the worst treatment on earth." His reasoning? A guard broke one of his fingers and they threw the Qu'ran on the ground and sat on it. I've got a Vietnam vet or two who would be more than happy to explain to these fucksticks what inhumane treatment really means.

ROTC awards are pointless once you graduate. I had quite a few conditionals during my time and I've still got bars on my shoulder now. I really wouldn't be too worried.
