  1. "Pawman" - thanks. I have a lot of work ahead to make sure these guys receive the recognition they deserve. My greatest concern are the younger enlisted guys who I know rely heavily on awards for points towards promotions etc. As an officer, I should take care of them first, I beleive that.

    I smell a troll....or a 2Lt.

    It's spelled Al Udeid.

Now if we can just get Pilots to stop wearing the bag on days they are not scheduled to fly then perhaps the flight suits would last longer and in turn save tax payer too. Jeff, Retired CT

I fear this will be the legacy of this decision once CCs start jumping on the bandwagon for fear that the AFSC/CC has shown them up.

  3. In light of all the discussions of Finance BSMs, it's great to see our Special Tactics guys getting proper recognition for the amazing stuff they do every day downrange. In an Air Force that pays a lot of lip service to everyone being "warriors", these guys are the real deal.

Air Force Chief of Staff Gen. Norton Schwartz will award Capt. Barry F. Crawford Jr. the Air Force Cross—the second highest honor for valor in combat—at a Pentagon ceremony on April 12. On May 4, 2010, Crawford, a special tactics officer assigned to an Army special forces team in eastern Afghanistan, " placed himself at grave risk on four occasions while controlling over 33 aircraft and more than 40 airstrikes on a well-trained and well-prepared enemy force" during an intense 10-hour-plus firefight...

  4. Next time you're in Vegas check out Comme Ca at the Cosmopolitan. Awesome scotch & whiskey selection and an amazing balcony view of the Strip to boot.

If you venture away from downtown, Freakin' Frogs over by UNLV has a HUGE scotch & whiskey selection - just about anything you'd want to try.

  5. The Small Schools Board and Academy AOC gets to cherry pick their guys first and then a cut line is made based upon numbers of available school slots.

What is the Small Schools Board and which schools do they fill? Everything but the service schools?

  6. UFB- and to think that someone in a 'leadership' position signed off on this expenditure thinking "wow, what a great training tool !" I thought that was what the chamber was for? Another bullet for an OPR I suppose...

    Missing the point....
