It was actually this guy.

The base commander did say that, every time. And it didn't work. SrA Yummybritches wore revealing clothing because her leadership wanted three beers per day and to be left alone and did not care what she wore, and did not understand the waterfall effect of his piss poor leadership. And so we find ourselves in the sky is falling scenario that you describe. And we blame the shoes and the base commanders and the host nation. It could have been avoided.
Who was the base commander at the Deid in '04 when the policy changed? Because I was deployed there at the time and that wasn't the reason we were told why the PT gear was implemented.

Herc pilots go to Pensacola for water survival now. I don't know what it used to be but it is now parachute or non-parachute, so if you MWS can carry a parachute you go to FL.
Non-parachute is at Fairchild.a lot of heavies in AMC took parachutes off a few years ago, which made Inital Qual student to start attending the non-parachuting water survival. Pensacola was a blast when I went through.

6.8.4. (Added-AETC) Boldface steps will be written as depicted in flight manual. Abbreviations or contractions of procedures or actions are not allowed unless they are used in the flight manual. Minor spelling errors are acceptable as long as the intent is clear and the meaning of the action is not changed. For example, ―propellor (instead of ―propeller) would be acceptable, but ―throttle‖ (instead of ―throttles) would not be acceptable because the meaning is changed. Units may supply a preformatted answer sheet that includes boldface titles, step numbers, etc.
Like I said before, YMMV depending on how your MAJCOM supts are written and the evaluator interprets them.
-
Common misconception that BF has to be verbatim from the book. It does NOT, that's just a UPT thing we haze people with.
An EP can accept anything that conveys the meaning. And spaces sure as hell don't matter - where are we, at standup?
MAJCOM, Base supts to the 11-202V2 can state that Boldface must be verbatim out of the checklist.
YMMV

Don't get a cab ride on a "bank holiday." The banks are closed and they charge you double.

Why not join the KC-10 Reserve unit there and not the KC-135 unit if you want to be a KC-10 Pilot?

Only late because the tanker went to the wrong track in the first place.
Our Navs are pretty spot on and don't talk back, unlike yours.
-
At least we can all agree that an E-8 and and E-3 do basically the same job.
Late for AR? Yep.

It's sorta douchey to like your own post.

Great area, however coming from a TFI unit as your first tanker assignment, both of you aren't going to like the ops tempo. The club has closed, never had a golf course (however there's great golfing off base), newer BX and commissary, brand new gym, nice outdoor running track the three months Spokane has nice weather. Hospital was renovated while I was there.
I know they were building/renovating base housing when I left there in '10. If you want to live in Spokane, I'd recommend upper South Hill. A lot of people live over in Eagle Ridge off I-195. I wouldn't live in Airway Heights, though it has improved since I first got there in '06. Spokane Valley is too far of a drive IMHO. I would stick to the far northwest(Nine Mile Road) side or the south side (South Hill) personally. Gas prices are about as ridiculous as the north east, so the commute might factor in how far away you want to live away from the base.

That is a CLEAN jet! Wonder what Guard or Reserve unit owns that...
Or Altus.

Just finished it, very well written and thankfully it didn't have flash back of BUD/S like most other books written by SEALs.

Seriously, 10 year Senior Airmen? Someone ought to be competitive for TSgt by that time.
People like that usually were demoted.

That pretty much covers predators.
And the French.

The likelihood of an AFRC KC-10 boom operator being involved in night one is pretty damn slim (unless already in-place at camp cupcake at kickoff time)... but you're ######in-A right I'd be there. Why else would I continue to put up with the AD-lite asspain that AFRC is rapidly becoming?
Some of the new Pilots and Booms in the new AFRC unit that stood up along KC-135 FTU were astonished that we could drink beer at work, had a bar, had multiple kegerators. Apparently a lot of AFRC units are trying to be more Active Duty than Active Duty themselves.

LOL!!!!
Tankers + clouds + tail numbers = Classic, yet fresh!
Next one will be the tankers ######ing up the rejoin!

Yea, I thought what they were saying didn't jive. Thanks for everyone's input.
Perhaps more "realistic"...anyone know about C17 bubbas getting into special programs like U2s?
There are people from various MDS's flying the Deuce. I know two prior tanker drivers and a Herk driver there, so it's possible.

At my base they basically have all of the shitty additional duties that nobody else in the OG wants to do. (Records management, forms and pubs, GPC, SVRO etc). They are also responsible for the OG sharepoint and all comm-related issues for the OG staff, which is their primary job. There are 4 SSgts assigned, although 1 or 2 are deployed at any given time. They work 12-hour days and receive zero praise. After talking to them, their jobs pretty much suck wherever they are assigned, and most of them try to cross-train.
As a career field, they work in offices for O-6 and above folks doing basically anything that needs to be done, but primarily focusing on comm. If you have a GO in your office, you have knowledge ops.
In a previous lifetime I was a Personnelist. Thankless job filled with the bottom end of the ASVAB/AFOQT scorers. Bringing back CSS/Orderly Rooms is a step in the right direction. That will help aleviate the 69 additional duties most flyers have so we can focus on the big things like gettings AAD's and PME.

When I was in AMC, we were told the Air Force doesn't pay landing fees.
Never been to Manas then?

7.5 year thread revival!
Some of the buzz I have been hearing is that AFRC has been turning into AD-light with regard to queep like BS inspections, additional duties, etc.
I'm sure it depends on your particular unit, but would anyone like to comment on the current institutional differences between transitioning from active duty to the Guard or Reserves.
The AFRC unit that teach along side of my AD Sq (FTU) go through the same training, have some (not all) of the same queep that we do. The difference is they are all GS-10 or GS-13's making a lot of more money than we are, minus their civilian health care they have to pay for.

The reliable rumor is from an OG StanEvil-type here.
Of course, that could just be a scare tactic for the children...
U - Unaware of established procedures and/or could not locate them in the appropriatepublication in a timely manner. Publications were not current.
Don't really know how they could give you a U/Q-3 for pubs if you have current pubs on your iPad and you changed something. Unless a local policy comes out.

Unless it's a Command Chief, or a Chief who's a Group Superintendent that you worked with, I wouldn't waste the time and stick with O's writing your LOR's.
