Boycott Clovis New Mexico
My sister-in-law was born in Clovis, and lived there until she went to college. Her parents still live there. There's not too many people that talk bad about the place that they grew up in. After all, it just grows on you, and you get used to it. Clovis, however.....well, my SIL hates the place. Sorry Techsan....I've been there too. Clovis sucks.

Being the SRO at SERE
Fury You're only a young Captain....I'll bet you a round (when you finally get to Luke ) that you aren't the SRO. It's possible, but I'd bet that there'll be someone there more senior than you. An element leader, for sure, but you might not be the most senior one there. Random story: my SRO when I went to SERE was a female LtCol Intel officer. She was getting some backseat Viper rides into badguy land, so they made her go to SERE. Her life just flat out sucked......

Shipping POV to England?
While the UK is out for me, I do have a 69% chance of going to Spang or Aviano. Anyone feel differently about bringing their good car to either of those locations? (ok, ok, I'll lose some cool points here...we have a Dodge Caravan....any issues with bringing this?) Also, thoughts on bringing a motorcycle to either of those locations?

Spy sat to hit North America?
I still chuckle everytime I read how they try to talk up hydrazine as the most dangerous substance in the world, yet I fly with it in my jet everyday. Hmmmm..... (yes, I realize the quantity is alot smaller, but still....)

Flyover/flyby Q&A
Toro Haven't seen the fighter side of this yet, but back in white jets, all our flyovers were done while accomplishing formation and/or navigation CT squares. As IPs we were allowed XX CT sorties a quarter. If I spent them flying to Vegas to booze and gamble all weekend, or if I spent them to go to XYZ airshow or sporting event and do a flyby, it cost the AF the same amount of money. Come to think of it, most times at the airshow we didn't have to pay for gas or billeting, so it actually cost the AF less money...

Phoenix and Luke AFB questions
You'd have to ask someone else....I've only been here since Oct.....you know, when it only gets to 100. They are in the middle of re-doing all the housing here at Luke. Most of the enlisted houses are done, but the officer housing still has a long ways to go. Won't be completed by Sept.

Phoenix and Luke AFB questions
You won't be living on base then unless you are enlisted. However, the rental market here is outstanding if you are a renter. TONS of houses at well below BAH, especially if you just want a normal size house. I got a 5 bed 3 bath and pay my water and electric bill for under my BAH. Technique only, I'd live either right by base, or north of it. The further south of base you go, the higher the crime rate (mainly burglary) is.

ENJJPT information
I know that currently all they are using is T-37's but I read a post (rumor?) that the T-6's will be solely in the program by Summer 08? No. Won't be all T-6 until 2009, should start students in T-6s late 2008 What is the actual difference between the two programs (aside from track select)? Is the ENJJPT program a whole lot harder? Not harder (sts), just different Is there any extra weight a person has after going to ENJJPT as compared to JSUPT? (i.e. promotions, job assignments, ect...) No And as a bonus, I feel compelled to add that it seems like you just kinda applied for ENJJPT as an afterthought and didn't really know what you were getting into. In which case, you may REALLY end up regretting that later. Hope I'm wrong!

Information on PCS/moves/moving (DITY, TMO, DLA, storage)
Thread revival! I went to the reg and looked at this, but I'm still not sure about it (that reg isn't pilot-proof!) Does anyone here have any experience with getting multiple DLAs in the same year? We're moving to Luke in 4 weeks and then moving from there next year, but it will most likely be in the same FY. Much thanks in advance!

Classic Thread - Pilot poser on Corvette Forum
I avoided this particular thread because it didn't seem to interest me (I know, I'm a bad mod) but when this thread, NSTFS, actually got mentioned at assignment night tonight in front of everyone, I figured I ought to at least see what the fuss was about. I miss those 20 minutes of my life I just wasted.... Oh well...... for all! Topic re-closed.

Does the Navy also do a SIB? Can this report be accessed through an AF safety office?

No more T-1 team sorties
That's the same way the T-38 solo O&Bs (Bobos) happen here at Sheppard.

Practical Jokes / Pranks
My fav is still having the stud give the control tower a thumbs up as we taxi back in if the jet is code 1. "No, no, you have to stick your hand really far out of the jet!" Good times............
