Is it an accurate impression that MLR drives the SR's adherence to the rules/customs of PRF writing? My understanding is that SR credibility is a large factor in how many additional DPs they win for their people at MLR. Does it take on the feeling of an awards fight club or is it a straight review/scoring of records? Most of us will never see an MLR, and it doesn't get the same attention as the actual board, but it seems to play a big part in outcomes. They are called aggregate DPs. If a SR doesn't have enough IPZ to earn a DP outright (i.e. 1 IPZ for a 58% DP allocation) then his IPZ is combined with all the other IPZ in similar circumstances into an aggregate pool. These records are competed at the MLR for the total number of aggregate DPs.The MLR will do a quality review of all records (including those slated to receive a 'P' outright) prior to scoring. Only records that were pushed to compete for a DP by their senior eater will be scored. If the board president sees any issues with PRF quality, there is time to address them prior to the PRFs being due to AFPC. The three boards I've observed were all focused on selecting the best officers for the total force and strength of record was very important. "Glove" saves with a superstar strat 1 time leading up to the board isn't enough. The board sees right through that stuff and it gets called out.

Nothing wrong with your plan. No different from starting clock with first child and then adding second.
The discussion got close to this but I'm hoping someone could dumb it down for me. I'd like my future child to get my Post 9/11 benefits, but I'd like to start my 4 year ADSC clock now so it will run concurrent with the UPT commitment. If I transfer everything to my wife, it will start the clock now. Then in two years, I can move the benefit to my child "for free" as re-allocating does not incur additional commitment. Thus avoiding a transfer ADSC that extends beyond my UPT commitment, keeping my options open.Does this sound like a reasonable plan, or more like a scam? Hopefully someone has their own experience to share.

2nd on the AMEX Hilton card. Easy way to accumulate points quickly.

I can't find an AF reference, but the Navy says it must be within 2 hours normal driving time to health care services. Laughlin, that is not.
According to Google Maps, that gets you to Castroville and that makes several people I know on unofficial accompanied remote assignments.
Del Rio does have a hospital.

I can solve the 11M manning problem. Put everything on boats, and stop unnecessary air refuelings for the sake of 3 hour ground times; will probably save at least $500 mil to boot... We're going to have stop doing things out of convience, we have fighters to buy.
If only it were that easy (putting everything on boats).

This was mandated by law...I think the 2012 or 2013 NDAA directed the requirement (not 100% positive if it was one of those...but thank congress in any case).
Whether or not you can email the documents is base specific. The base I'm currently at allows the documents to be scanned and emailed.

Expectation management?

Wow, I always thought the limit was the limit. So, as I understand it, you can covert your TSP to ROTH TSP right? If so, I am in luck this year. Long story short I am deployed most of the year and I am going to be getting close to a 24k non-refundable tax credit this year. So, I need some good tax liability to get the full 24K. Guess now I need to figure out just how much tax I would owe on my non-deferred TSP contributions.
Why isn't this shit just easy?
No, currently you can not convert your traditional TSP to a Roth. See: https://www.tsp.gov/planparticipation/eligibility/traditionalRothContributions.shtml

The SFS Careerfield Manager has contacted the Chief at Fairchild.
3,999 SFS troops left to cut...
She's already at Fairchild...maybe temporary duty over at Resistance Training as a student would be in order.

My understanding is the entire Senate is going to vote so they cancelled the committee hearing.

If I wash out of IFS, how would UPT be any more pleasant?
If you wash out of IFS you'll never know. Participating in a program designed to weed people out before the big game just for fun doesn't seem like a good idea to me.

I'm a tanker gal married to a different tanker guy. We are stationed over 6000 miles apart. Did our first assignment apart (3 years) and the functional was so helpful and accommodating he hooked us up with a UAV assignment to creech so we could 'be together' working opposite days and shifts. My advice to you? Get in the same airframe. You can forget it heavy to fighter and even heavy to heavy can become a nightmare with sequestration- there are no funds for cross flow if you aren't an instructor pilot in your airframe already which takes atleast 4-5 years to attain. If you have more questions PM me directly. My husband and I were rock stars in our units and our commanders were dialoguing to get us together and it didn't make a bit of difference, to UAVs we go.

Did you offer T-6s to Laughlin?

Horrible article. No other service can execute what the Air Force does on a theater or global scale. They operate to support organic assets especially with ISR and mobility in addition to kinetic actions.

So I got a GoPro for Christmas this year and am really hoping to use it as a helmet cam in UPT. I have done some searching on YouTube to see what's out there and it looks like there are quite a few videos, but they all seem to be shot by the IP. Does anyone know what they likelihood of me being allowed to shot video, as a student in UPT, is? Thanks in advance.
No.

Never seen this type action before. Legal or not?
"Airmen eligible to retire may also be vulnerable to DOS rollback separation, Garcia said."
"Retirement is not automatic. If you are eligible to retire and identified for DOS rollback, you must submit a retirement application by Jan. 31, 2014, for the May 1 or earlier retirement. If you do not, you will be separated instead, and will not receive retirement benefits," he explained.
Retirement for the Enlisted force is not the same as officers. The way it was explained to me is they have to apply for retirement versus submitting for retirement. Never looked it up to check but seemed to be semantics to me...

Economies of scale. Eliminating an entire airframe saves more than making incremental cuts across the board.

I can't find the current stats, which I felt like I looked at a few months ago. Can someone post a link? Help a brother out.
I don't have the link...but search on the portal for Air Force Statistics. Last I looked the ACP take rate was over 64% for this year.

I find this also funny considering we just shut down Turkey, I have no SA on the pros and cons of operating out of LTAG are but at least we already have a base there.
ETA: shutdown as in C-17 deployments.
Turkey has very strict requirements with regards to cargo (advanced notification requirements).
Romania is all about Logistics. Not everything flows via air.

Seriously, I've tried at home using IE 10 and Chrome... and I've tried at work. No matter where I try, it locks up as soon as I click certain things (different item for each scenario).
Did you try compatability mode in IE?

And we're not supposed to write our own OPRs even though every CRO form you sign says you're not allowed to do it...you still do.
I was just providing information in bullet format...that happened to fit perfectly on the OPR.

Work on your PRF? Why would your commander allow you to do that?
You're being facetious right?
While I've had Commanders comment they would take care of it (PRF), I also realized how busy they were and that the junior exec would end up doing the initial hack....I would rather write my own...I know my record better than the Lt that broke his leg and ended up being an Exec because he couldn't go anywhere anyways.

What would be very telling, but something that would surely never be released is the number of takes for the ACP with their current duty station. I have several friends that have taken the bonus and all of them are in one form of school or another. So if the vast majority of those who signed the bonus were those who were planning on staying in (and won't even be actually flying for 4 of the 5 yrs of the bonus between school and Staff) is that considered a "victory" for these senior leaders? Serious question...
ACP numbers by base are released and available on the AF Statistics website. I don't have the link at home, but a quick search on the portal brings it up. Numbers based on MDS, MWS, base, MAJCOM, etc are all provided.

HHonors is a loyalty program...not a credit card per se, although they may have one, I don't know.
There is a credit card that is linked to the program. Much like a Delta AMEX, etc.
Hate it when I try the GTC and for some reason it doesn't go through...
I seem to have the same problem on occasion...
