This belongs in the “What’s Wrong” thread. Yet again, another great reason to steer clear of ACSC so you’re not tagged for PowerPoint deployments as a “leader”....

Navs will run the AD AF in a few years... most pilots worth their salt that didn’t fall for the bonus will be out.... you’ll be just fine. I mean, you got all the containers filled.

The exact reason I got my masters (for free with TA) was for my resume outside the AF.... sounds like that was at least a good move.

Choosing to skip ACSC online is not due to laziness... Its proving that it’s completely worthless. Just like you said, all it takes is formatting of a paper (or marking answer “c” / “too long to be wrong”) to pass. Again validation what a waste of time/money/resources the course truly is.

Using a ballwash online course to determine who gets the nod for promotion is a perfect representation of what’s broken. That’s the point. Not complaint. That said, if you’re a bonus takier, prior E locked to 20, or a non pilot I understand greasing the skids to get that pay bump.

ACSC is useless. Good for you. I had the same conversation prior to my PRF being submitted. Also sent up with a P.

If you’re rated, pass you PHA and still look ok in uniform, you’re good. Questions?

I hope you guys get promoted! But. (Devils Advocate) You committed to 20 as a major by taking the bonus. Do you think the bean counters want you to promote? Plenty of O-4’s taking over as DO nowadays. No reason to hand out more money when you already took a little extra and signed a contract....

How it should be... If the boss wants a guy to be a CC then offer an in res. Min running an online course just to get a promotion/show you care/being a company man clearly falls under “what’s wrong with the AF”
