Brits get jacked up at Groom Lake
You know that Apache driver (if there ever really was one) was sitting up there saying "Please, just once, let me kill some hippies."

Brits get jacked up at Groom Lake
I think he means the idea that these guards had no idea the crew was there until they knocked on the window. I call BS but it seems like a weird thing to make up...

Report Slams Military's Recent Camouflage Uniforms
If you're going to inflate those trousers to make an awesome life-vest then it'd help if they could be orange when you turn them inside out. /sarcasm

Fighter Aircrew Conditioning Test (FACT) info
Just an update. The new AETCI 11-406 came out in March and basically did away with the FACT. That being said, I know they're still doing it at Vance. I don't know about the other bases though. Long and short of everything is summed up pretty well with the following:

Report Slams Military's Recent Camouflage Uniforms
I heard rumors when it first came out that it automatically turned orange when submerged in saltwater. Now that I'm a little wiser...I'm pretty sure that was total BS.

Report Slams Military's Recent Camouflage Uniforms
Decent article about the decade-long camouflage uniform screw up that has seemed to plague every service but the Marines.

China Unveils 2nd "5th Gen" Prototype
- I think they TOTALLY get it (Suicides)
Driving on to base here we have signs in a row saying: LIGHTS ON FOR SUICIDE AWARENESS MONTH That's one hell of a way to rack up numbers for people who are recognizing your cause. "If you see here General, we counted 80% of cars had their headlights on while driving this month. Therefore nearly all our service members recognize that suicide is in fact a thing. I'd say this month was an overwhelming success and I'll take my fire-walled OPR whenever you're ready."- WTF? (**NSFW**)

NAS Whiting Field 8/16 (VT-3) 2 x T-1- Landing Fees at O'Hare
Rog, we'll definitely work on hashing out those other options, thanks for the suggestions. Basically the way it was explained to us was to look on AirSeaCard and if it doesn't have a contract, you're not going to that airport, which is why O'Hare looked like the only other good option. Gary looks pretty doable though; we'll just have to conference up with the IPs. Again, thanks for the heads-up.- Landing Fees at O'Hare
Yeah they actually shut down that whole FBO is the story I got from Landmark's office. Good point on the card though, might save us just paying non-contract price at Midway rather than the city's landing fees at O'Hare.- Landing Fees at O'Hare
Haha, with no options for contract fuel at MDW we don't have much of a choice for making it into the city unfortunately.- Landing Fees at O'Hare
Hey just looking for some input regarding the landing fees from people who have been into some of the larger airports on XCs. We've got two T-6s looking to head up to Chicago this weekend and it looks like the DoD contractor at KMDW has shut down, meaning we have to head into O'Hare if we want to make it. I guess most city airports (JFK, LaGuardia, LAX, etc) charge a fee or tax for landing. Signature quoted $350 for a Pilatus landing there (no handling or ramp fees for Mil) but I'm wondering if the city waves that fee for us. They're not entirely sure at Signature so I'm wondering if any of you all have flown into O'Hare or other city airports and what you've found. Cheers.- A-10 crash at moody
False, he was talking on his cell phone.- FC1 Physical Information
That was just another way to make sure you weren't going to kill yourself. "Do you ever feel like putting an ice pick in your eye?" If "Yes" Score = 0. If "No" Score = 100 - I think they TOTALLY get it (Suicides)
