  1. The aircraft commanders are both permanently grounded. Perhaps that's what's needed to get someones attention. The 2 Navy F-18A pilots that flew low over the GA Tech football game last year loss/(LOST) there/(THEIR) wings as well. It's amazing that during the Army Navy football game in Dec, the Navy's flight of 4 F-18 flyby could be hardly seen. I guess some people got the word. Maybe its time to put military aviation in the NFL. That's the No Fun League. If you think the services are getting chicken shit, get out and fly for the airlines. But remember if you bust their regs like flying 150 miles pass/(PAST) your destination while on your laptop you'll get fired too. I guess flying is a serious business.

Any course of action on the T-38 flight of 4 flyby as of yet? If they flew at the proper altitude they should be given a written apology. They have been put through the ringer. If the flight lead intentionally flew low on his final flight, he needs to be permanently grounded even for the ANG/Res. And if the FAA warrants a flight violation, hopefully that will kill his commercial aviation career. I assume he was an exceptional Officer and pilot but his grounding will serve another purpose. That's to have a positive impact on other aviators to follow the regulations.

Don't even want to write about the C-17 crash in Alaska. And I won't. Does anyone see a trend here, and how do you lessen it?

    Grammar much??????

And the trend is that you're a douche......go kill yourself.

  2. Wait, Reflective Belts in Blues? Really? Wearing them as part of your flightsuit, or ABU's is one thing, but to show outright disrespect to the Dress Uniform of our service by wearing a reflective belt is crazy. I wonder if the Base Honor Guard wears them as well? Please, oh please, let Air Force times get a picture of a guy in service dress with a reflective belt on...

Once again.....failure of the "Leaders" to figure out how to "Lead" and not just throw a Reflective belt at the problem. Once we get these guys to figure out how to "Lead" we'll all be in a better place.

  3. So, the new BAH rates for 2011 came out (STS) today. I'm moving to Clovis in a few months and guess what, the BAH for my paygrade dropped by $70 from CY10-CY11. The strange thing about that is house prices in Clovis have skyrocketed since the AFSOC takeover (almost double vs a few years ago in Clovis). So a similar house in Clovis to the one I'm in will cost $500 more per month than the one I'm currently in and I'm going to lose $300 per month in BAH. :bash::bash: :bash:

Maybe I do the Democrat version of math, but if your BAH dropped by $70, how are you losing out on $300.00 per month? $70 is less than $300 last I checked.

  4. Standing by for an email from the wing command chief, then a forward of that email from the group chief, the squadron first sergeant, and the squadron commander.

And the Wing DS and the Wing Execs, and then the OG DS and the OG Execs, and then the Squadron DS and the Squadron Execs, and then every person who thinks they're important enough to simply type, "FYI" and forward on the email that was already sent out.

  5. From what I heard (rumor mill), it was an alcohol related "incident"...not a DUI. Something about an airmen who was driven home by a DD, then left to go do something stupid and got arrested. Now wing leadership has decided that this is the proper course of action.

Just my $0.02, if it comes down to making everyone wear the belts 24/7, then no one has any idea how to eliminate alcohol incidents.

So does this include TDY personel? I'd be willing to tell someone to go suck a bag of dick.

  6. FG,

Wanted to take moment to formally recognize you and say thanks for your participation and input on this forum.

Unfortunately, this forum highlights the often negative relationship between Ops and Support.

You my are definitely in the business of taking care of folks as demonstrated by the number and depth of questions you answer.

How in the world you found your way to a forum full of prima dona aviators is a mystery, the fact that you stayed and have contributed and helped so many people is a testament to the type of professional you are.

On behalf of all the folks you have helped on this board, thanks!

    CH

Let me guess, USAFA or a state school dude. You grammar much good.

"2" as well. Thanks you have taught us well so that we now know more than we used to. It has been well worth it. Thanks, now only if you could be cloned and sent to all the bases to help out that would be great.

2 a million times. Thanks for all the help Finance Guy. I've been in for a number of years, and am still learning lessons from Finance Guy. Straight to the point, and you never blow smoke our way. If we're wrong, we're wrong, and if not, then you gladly point us in the direction to show how we're right. Finance Guy, I owe you drinks when I get back to Scott. Or if you ever make your way to Ramstein, you drink for free.

  7. So will those stadiums be indoors with air conditioning or will the teams have to play during the day in a outdoor stadium in Qatar in July?

Qatar, which has promised to overcome heat of up to 130 degrees with air conditioned outdoor stadiums, led on every round of balloting that initially included Australia, Japan and South Korea.

  8. I foresee a lot of EPR/OPR/Award packages that claim work to get the WOrld Cup to Qatar heading up the chain very soon. On the positive side, think of all the "volunteer" possibilities in 2022. For those who have the time during their "combat" tour in Qatar.

  9. I guess reflective belts can be useful...

So I'm TDY and my wife couldn't wait a week for me to get back to put up a Christmas tree. So when she called me in hysterics after the tree fell over for the second time, I told her she had to come up with some way to prop it up until I get home. Here is what she came up with...

Note: There will be no pictures of the wife

You spoke of the wife. I believe the ROE for that requires pictures of said wife.

  10. C-130s and CV-22s from Cannon are trying to expand their night low level training from the standard LL routes to almost all of the mountainous parts of NM and CO, so it is more like Afghanistan. Residents are already complaining about the impending noise. Who knew anyone lived in NM to complain?

    Give me a break.

Here's another of her wonderful websites. This alone should let all of us know how she feels about the military.

  11. Thread revival. Anyone know where to get the extremely thin laces that were issued with boots from Addison Shoe Company. I've got a pair of their boots that I absolutely adore (fits like a glove) and the laces are shot. Addison closed their doors 3 years ago, and I'm having no luck finding the ultra thin laces that go with the foldover tops, velcro boots with the speedlace and the metal cinch. I'm checking surplus stores, but no luck so far. If you've got any ideas, I'd greatly appreciate it.

  12. Kudos on whoever that AC was who skipped the line. However, I think having a delay code attributed to TIB on your Form 59 might be a trophy worth framing!

I think the best I've seen on a form 59 so far is the line cancelled due to a leaking "WENCH"
