October 10, 200817 yr The problem is that the idiots designing this stuff have never actually been in battle. I think this pretty much sums up the whole problem with the uniform.
October 13, 200817 yr The airman battle ensemble is comprised of the coat, pants and battle shirt. It is basically a tactical fire resistant adaptation of the current ABU. The ABE is the core of the ABS-G. Battle shirt? Really? Can I wear my "battle" shirt while I stroll down the "combat" sidewalk? Look more into the battle shirt- seems like a pretty good idea. Basically, but the arms off the blouse and attach it to a t-shirt so you don't have extra layers under body armor that you'd have if you wore the usual blouse + undershirt.
