January 17Jan 17 The WG/CC promises all the Navs that he's going to get age waivers and pilot training dates for all who want to go. When the last H model leaves, the WG/CC says "Sorry, couldn't get any pilot training, but we got some cool staff jobs for ya."

That's kind of what I was seeing in one of the Guard Aviation Facebook groups. Age is not on my side so I kind of have to take what ever is offered to me if offered. Inside said Facebook group, A Nav said to make sure to get a pilot slot promised in writing as more than likely they will assign you a non-rated position. Another poster claimed in his unit they made all of the Navs load masters (not sure how true that is).

The 193rd in PA with MC-130Js and the HC-130J Guard/Reserve units in Long Island/Patrick/Moffit/Alaska (probably one I'm missing) still have CSOs; might be an option for you if the UPT thing doesn't work out.

I've applied to a few of those units in the past. Just never got an interview. I'll try again.
