February 26, 20196 yr Saw this on Reddit. If I'm interpreting it correctly you no longer need an ETP if you are under 33 and 8 years TFCS

There's a lot that goes into this
April 9, 20196 yr I am a civilian, but I have a professional degree so I hear I can enter as an officer which may help with the waiver process. I have a PPL.

October 12, 20196 yr Hope it’s alright if I bump this old thread. I’ve read multiple different comments on here, Facebook groups, Reddit, etc. that the new age policy does NOT apply to civilians. Others say it does and is a blanket policy for everyone, civilians included. Can anyone clarify, or provide any sources or additional information?
October 12, 20196 yr Not 100% sure, have you tried looking through the AFI? (36-2105 I think) I always thought it was blanket.

The most recent one I can find is dated 25 May 2018, and it still says 30 is the limit for UPT. Here’s the source doc: https://static.e-publishing.af.mil/production/1/af_a1/publication/afi36-2105/afi36-2105.pdf If there’s a more recent version I’ve yet to find it.
October 13, 20196 yr I don't have an official AFI or document reference off hand, but the airforce.com website says 33. That seems pretty conclusive. https://www.airforce.com/careers/detail/pilot Edited October 13, 20196 yr by Fly For a 62E Grammar

I agree that’s pretty definitive, thank you!
