SuperFreaky Posted May 6, 2019 Posted May 6, 2019 In the middle of the process rn, all I know so far is that my application items need to be to my recruiter by the end of July for his upcoming board. I have very little confidence in my recruiter, so bare with me with these questions. My recruiter is saying I can’t apply for ENJJPT until after I’m at OTS? Meaning I can’t fill out a AF215. Also how important is the AF TFOT? Specifically the essay? Thanks,

I had called the Columbus transition office asking that very question and was told to hold tight. We get issued them when we arrive. Only folks needing to buy flight suits prior to showing are the IFT peeps.

Am I supposed to buy those at clothing sales along with ranks to sew onto them? Or am I missing something?

I already know to bring a knee board and map strap, but Idk about any other pilot accouterments. Since I'm not coming from a upt base with issued stuff, I'm kinda shooting in the dark here with what to bring that wasn't listed on Doss's arrival guide

My Wing has 1 pilot, 0 other rated. I have a pubs bag already that I was using while working towards my PPL, so I'm bringing that. I wouldn't sweat it too much, they should have everything we need (That isn't on reporting instr) on site.

I had to acquire hand-me-down flight suits/gloves. Every time I call Laughlin, they are just lost on the fact that I am going to IFT first. Then I call Doss and they just tell me to contact my UPT base...

That’s wild... luckily I made some bros in the nearby reserve unit, they opened up their equipment warehouse and hooked me up with all the gear I needed and their recent upt grads talked me through some questions I had.

Is it like a blank version of the paper they provided us and you have to write every single item, bold or not, or are the terms listed and you just need to put the boldface part? 1

AFI says we need to serve half of it to be eligible, but I figure thats not in effect if a lot of 2LT’s got picked up the lst board. Wanted to know you all’s experience.

I think it depends on what kind of ADSC you have... If it's an ADSC from a commissioning source/PCS/other basic shit then it's no issue... If you have an ADSC from getting your Masters (AFIT/etc) or something along those lines, you may have to pursue a waiver. I was on station for < 1 year when I applied and was accepted w/o a waiver. 1
