February 16, 20169 yr Las year, my commander let me know, in person, the day before the official results dropped. I'm pretty sure that's the main reason why wings get the "unofficial" results early.

I believe this thread (and please correct me if I am wrong) is exclusively talking about Active Duty personnel applying for UPT.

February 17, 20169 yr Active Duty guy here. Squadron Commander just called to let me know I got picked up, so your commanders should have results!
February 17, 20169 yr Yeah it was one of those automated emails from vMPF. Got it at 0900. Your miliage may vary though since im on an age etp so i dont know if everyone is gonna get the same email if they got picked up. That being said, my leadership knew (and was pissed afpc ruined the surprise haha) so the list is out there.

February 18, 20169 yr I got a TDY RIP from the wing training office this afternoon for Medical Flight Screening. Showed it to my CC, who already knew I'd gotten the RIP...I'm guessing somebody at training received a second ******* for sending it out early... but he wouldn't tell me anything about what I got. Said "officially I would learn something at 1500 tomorrow."

February 18, 20169 yr Me neither man, no details yet. I'll have to give AFPC a call at some point. I'd really like to avoid coming to work everyday waiting on some notification for the next year.

It means that if someone that is primary doesn't go for some reason (medical, decides they don't want it, etc) then you will go. But, you already knew that. This was a routine thing back in the 90's. You will get a call if they have a slot to fill. Other than that, they won't have any news for you.
