I knew him as a colonel at SHAPE, he was a pretty good dude.

I was also just over at USFJ for work and passed by him a few times, but he didn't recognized me as I've changed quite a bit since retiring (I pretty much look like "The Dude" from The Big Lebowski these days) and he was busy so I didn't want to interrupt him.

So why the question? Feel free to PM me if you want, my experience is a bit dated but it was all pretty much positive if that's what you're looking for...

Cheers! M2

I met him while I was on ops air force as a cadet (go ahead laugh,) when he was the wing king at Misawa. Stand up guy, invited us for dinner and drinks at his house. Best mentoring session ever.

He is now the three star here in Japan, everyone seems to like him.

Wow, he's a 3 star now! He was my wing cc at Shaw and the push behind my pilot training application that I believe got me accepted.

It's interesting that he was a wing/cc twice (Shaw and Misawa), three times actually if you include the 332nd Air Expeditionary Wing...

When I was at Misawa both new Wing/Cc came from Shaw.
