They are losing their Flame Ionization Detecting mission! That does suck.

They're losing their rotor wing mission...fixed wing mission will still be active (so I've been told).

They got news sometime in the summer. One more cool Huey assignment down the drain.

Kinda makes sense in a way

Except the Army won't take any of the Mi-17 mission from Afghanistan.

One of the reasons the Army turned the job down was due to airworthiness issues with the Mi-17. While they may not be doing the training directly, they are pretty involved in some of the training we are doing.

Fixed wing FID is ramping up.

How will this effect their hiring? It seems that they have been recruiting for their squadron for a while.
