January 10, 201213 yr Original. I've flown on this thing. It is impressive. Of course, the wings stayed on the whole time. Someone told me they had flown on this thing and they couldn't tell when it landed. I called BS. Then I flew on it from Singapore to Hong Kong. I was upstairs in First Class and I could not tell when we touched down. No shit. I guess the wings absorb all the energy...DOH.

January 10, 201213 yr Biggest comm. aircraft sure, couldn't feel it land? thats cool. The 747 is still one of the most beautiful meat haulers around, maybe second only to the DC-3, IMHO.
