October 8, 201312 yr Yes, spellfail on my part, but the question remains. https://www.miamiherald.com/2013/10/06/3674101/us-air-force-member-among-4-dead.html
November 7, 201312 yr Anyone working for Avenge or any other MC-12ish gig? Got a call for a PIC position at 476$ a day, only to have them swap it to a SIC for 310$ a day.60 on 60 off. Seemed like an extreme lowball offer.

Guys we talked to out there were getting 750 a day deployed, and half that back in the states if they had a job, 0 if they only did the deployed part.

Nope, thats new hire pay. They say it's a new thing they are trying, the SIC position. It used to be you were hired on same rate and once spun up you would swap seats. It's ridiculous since the reason you get paid bank over there is, well, you're over there. So there shouldn't be such a discrepancy between seats for pay.I understand with things dying down pay may drop, but 300$ a day?? No thanks.
November 8, 201312 yr What kind of contract do these guys put you under? Is each deployment it's own contract, or are you committed to a certain time period when they hire you? Seems like the kind of job that would be great to pay bills when your phone doesn't end up ringing off the hook, but not the kind of thing you'd want to be holding you down for the next 18 months when you do get the call.

That was for the PIC position. Not sure about the new SIC position they just made up. They had zero idea about how long upgrades would be or if there would be.
November 8, 201312 yr Money is drying up out here. At a certain company a good 30% quit on rumors of a pay cut. Now there is this issue of new hires getting paid far less than those already on with the company. Corporate certainly won't take a pay cut so they are attempting to shift the pay cut to the new 30% and beyond. What kind of contract do these guys put you under? Depends on the company. One company says 180 days deployed in the year after initial training and then 90 days deployed after a refresher (which is every 12 months). The threat of non-performance is garnishing your wages to recoup the costs of your training, not pro-rated. This seems to be selectively enforced.
November 13, 201312 yr There ain't no effing way I would go over there for that crap pay! No way! There are a few decent companies out there keeping pay where it should be. If you think you are worth $300.00 a day, then have at it. By the way, for that $300.00 a day, you get ZERO benefits and a shitty 401K. I fly contract ISR over there and am seriously looking at something CONUS.
November 14, 201312 yr Or you could do a manday or double TP at home for the same pay. Touch choice on that one.
November 15, 201312 yr You can do much better than Dynamic Aviation, especially if you are a former military or Guard/Reserve pilot...
January 17, 201411 yr Who are the other ISR companies hiring...and what is their pay/benefits? Avenge is hiring a TON of pilots right now but from what I hear, struggling to get people to take an extremely low daily rate.
