My squadron just moved to a new building with no provisions for a bar. Currently, we might have enough room to construct a bar table with a couple of taps, but a room dedicated to a squadron bar would have to wait until we went to J's. Since I'm starting with a blank canvas, I'd like to hear what you guys have seen in your squadron bars.

Well, the sky's the limit. We mostly have old memorabilia...but even some good stuff like framed copies of some police reports from "breaking red" and getting jacked up for humor.

In all seriousness, we snagged a Plasma from another office that was extraneous and set it up so we can do Powerpoints/Pictures/videos for naming nights and such. Maybe a little football when work is slow.

We added a 1 foot tall black velcro line at the top of the walls so people who leave the squadron can leave a name tag on the way out.

We did have to change the name on the sign "heritage room" as the Shoe-Clerks were offended we had a "bar."

You can contact the AF Museum and they will often let you display old artifacts in your bar; just ask!
